Xavier foster vs norwalk.

Do you actually watch games, or just analyze stats? Bolton is not a good all around basketball player that makes good decisions and makes his team better. You can put up stats and not be a good basketball player.... you understand this, right?
Oh Jesus **** shut the **** up already. Bolton is easy the 2nd best player in the team regardless of stats. He is only a sophomore and will be even better come his sr year. You are hating just to hate.

Here's my 2 cents on why Born would be a nice fit on a 3pt shooting starved P6 team.

First our 2000 team would of kicked the crap out of this year's versions of Baylor and Kansas the current top NCAA seeds.

Granted Jake Sullivan didn't come along until the following season but absolutely the same era.

Not saying Born is a better shooter than Sullivan but he looks to be a better athlete and a better shooter than anyone we currently have.

So if Sullivan is arguably the best shooter in school history why is it so far fetched that Born couldn't compete at this level?
Because Willoughby was the best shooter. Plus there were blue bloods after Jake so it's not really comparable.

Bolton is raw but to say he's not good at basketball is absolutely ridiculous lol. He's a sophomore who's basically been asked to be the leading scorer on a team in which he joined in the spring of last year. He has a lot to work on but anyone with any basketball knowledge should be able to see that he has a lot of talent.

he would really benefit from being on a better team. I think he has a bright future v

This year he definitely would. Next year and the year after will provide more promise than this year. His senior year I think we could be pretty dang good. Him, Conditt, Griffin, and Javahn Johnson will all be seniors. Grill and Jackson will be juniors. The 2020 class will all be sophomores. That's without transfers and the 2021 class.

Bolton to me looks like a less athletic Wigginton. I think by the time he is a Senior he is going to be a very good player. Right now he is decent but on a good team he wouldn't be the first or second option like he is on this team.

You are the one that is in Bolton's corner, so I ask again, which starter on last years team would he replace?
Wigginton is at least bouncing around the NBA, do you see Bolton doing it?

The team last year was much better than the one this year. One could make a case last year had one of the best (if not the best) backcourts in school history.

Just because Bolton would not replace one of the starters on a much better team does not mean (1.) he is not the second-best player on this team, because he is and (2.) we should take a 5'10" 150 unrated guy as a solution to our problems.

For the record, assuming you have four guard spots, you could make a six-man rotation out of the following six guys that would be pretty awesome --

Shayok
Haliburton
Weiler-Babb
Wigginton
Bolton
Horton-Tucker

...in roughly descending # of deserved minutes, at least in my conception.

Dedric was the best clutch shooter of all time. He was also my favorite Clone. My comparison to Jake is based on being undersized and still being a valued contributor.

Personally I don't see the difference a couple inches makes in this role especially when the taller of the two had limited athletic ability.

The Sullivan comparison is terrible. Let's just leave it at that

Lol at anyone arguing about Bolton not being good. We would be absolutely awful without him. He can actually get into the lane. I would like his decision making to be a little better (passing vs forcing up a shot) but he seems to be even improving on that throughout the season and he is only a sophomore.

I would say he is already a good player. Just asked to do a lot and he isn't quite ready to have a whole team on his back. He might force some plays but who else on the team can or will. To me he is a bright spot for this year.

Bolton is the centerpiece to it if there is to be a comeback in the next 1-2 years.

There was no choice to be made considering Iowa State wasn't an option for him. Had Iowa State offered, he would be a Cyclone. We didn't offer and shouldn't have offered.
I know. Had he had a choice, UNI would have been the correct one so it's all moot.
