WWE WrestleMania 37 Weekend Thread

Just watched it now. Indi Hartwell part was great. Don't watch NXT on a regular basis might do more now with shows on separate nights. Is the intergender stuff we saw tonight happen at NXT often? Because on Smackdown and Raw intergender stuff is almost never done now. That move Candice did to Dexter was great.

Typically no, but considering the nature of The Way as well as Candice’s history of working with men prior to WWE (go look up Young Bucks vs Joey Ryan and Candice LeRae on YouTube if you want an excellent example), it’s more likely to happen when Candice is involved and I’m sure Hunter trusts her with it.

For the record, I’m still looking for the day that Candice breaks out gummy bears in a no DQ match.

Those all make tons of sense.

Joe obviously wants to get in the ring but WWE isn't going to clear him. I'd imagine he's either going to Japan or Impact.

Bo Dallas is selling real estate so I think he's more or less done with the business.

They also released Mickie James and the IIconics. Mickie James has to be headed to do the NWA/AEW crossover like Serena Deeb and Thunder Rosa. The IIconics will find a home somewhere.

The only one I care about is Samoa Joe and that's from a strictly commentator role. He was money on the mic doing commentary.

Samoa Joe might have wanted to be released.

Chelsea Green has been bit by the injury bug over and over again.

I forgot yesterday was the start of those WWE biography shows on A&E. They were starting with Stone Cold. I was able to view it on the A&E website. Damn it was good. Lots I knew some parts I got a more clear understanding of what I thought.

Knew about the the kliq thing screwing Triple H out of the King of the Ring that went to Austin. Man if the kliq moment doesn't happen do we get stone cold.

I always thought the botched piledriver was done with the knees. It was 90's and like many things we know better today but IMO a pile driver should never be done with the person giving it landing in the seated position.

Tough to see the price for the greatness of Stone Cold it meant few friends and lack of touch with family.

Loved the talk about a simple sound of broken glass could make an audience lose their ****. Loved the sign that said "Hear the glass that's your ***"

For some reason the end where the rock and stone cold talked about the moment right after their mania 19 match got me emotional. Maybe it was there throughout and that was the the breaking point.

Just watched the Miz 24 documentary. A must see. I was one of the many who thought he was just a reality show guy looking to extend his fame, but he like many others won me over.

So they're bringing back Eva Marie to play the Diva character that has failed like 10 times since the "Revolution" began 5 years ago.

We have more than enough good looking women who can actually wrestle. There is no longer a need for the T and A crew especially now in pg wwe.

They released Mickie James (trash bag and all), Peyton Royce, and Billie Kay last week and then this week announce they’re bringing back Eva Marie.

This is the WWE in 2021.

Tonight is the season premiere of the 3rd season of Dark Side of the Ring. They are starting the season with a 2 hour show about Brian Pillman.

The first hour was made available on YouTube. Quite interesting as my introduction to wrestling was shortly after Pillman's passing.

After last night's dark side of the ring I went and watched the Raw following Pillman's passing. Vince has done some douche things and near the top has be interviewing Brian's widow with his passing only being a day old.

Any of you guys been watching the 2 Hour A&E Biography they have been airing on Sunday Nights? Thus far they have had shows on Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Macho Man Randy Savage, and tonight's was on Booker T. Been pretty good watches I thought.

Next week is on Shawn Michaels. Think they still have upcoming ones on Mick Foley, Ultimate Warrior, & Bret Hart.

I have. Stone Cold has been my favorite so far but could see hbk one taking that.

Thoughts
Stone Cold - great, to relive when wrestling was at it's peak.

Piper - good but focused alot on his pre wwf / wcw days which didn't interest me

Macho Man - solid but the last half the doc was going in several directions. Felt like it was half macho doc half elizabeth doc

Booker T - again good, his seemed to focus more on family than wrestling.

I have really enjoyed them. Jake the Snake would be another good one, though he was part of a documentary movie a few years back. That guy had some really bad things in his life. Believe Dallas Diamond Page helped him get clean and sober.

I also like the Vice Series Dark Side of the Ring really gives you insight to all the demons many of these wrestlers dealt with.

Sat next to Eddie Guerrero on a flight, nice guy but you could see the physical toll his body had taken. Just looked like he was in a lot of physical discomfort. We chatted a bit, but I mostly left him alone as I think he just wanted to sleep, he said the travel was absoltuley exhausting. Died way to young. :-(
