Wrestling Coaching change

A good AD is always one step ahead of the game. Jamie is a good AD. No reason not to think they have already visited about the "what ifs" in Jake's career. I don't know that, but as a businessman, that's what I would be doing.

How much input does an AD have on choices of assistant coaches? I would think JP would pretty much leave this choice to KJ.

And does well with coaching the lighter weights. That's always been the thorn in the side for Jackson, and Nickerson finally seemed to have looking better.

Totally agree. I'm just glad that most of the recruits are already on campus so are less likely to follow Troy to Northern Colorado. Hopefully Pollard and Jackson can find another young lightweight to take his place.

Jamie Pollard spends about 2.5 seconds each year thinking about future assistant wrestling coaches.

I would like to see Escobedo join the staff. As much as I like Jon Reader, we just don't need him. We need a light weight. I would be in favor of splitting ways with Paulson and adding Reader. I think that would be a net positive for the team.

With Escobedo coming in as a Senior level wrestler with CWC, I hope we go get Zach Sanders or Nick Fanthorpe as assistant and move Travis to Associate head coach.
