only a blind man could have liked what he saw out of that group of misfits and bricklayers tonight

I liked what I saw at the start of the game but that was about it. I'm sorry but a loss is a loss. You can lose by 1 or 30 and it still counts as a loss and this was a game we clearly were the more talented team. I think our biggest issue right now is guys not knowing their roles. Royce has got to establish himself in the post and draw in the defense to open up our shooters. Babb started hot then Royce had some nice plays then we started jacking up bad shots down the stretch when the game was close. When we play disciplined and put in the effort on defense we look great at times but we haven't seen that effort for an entire 40 minutes yet.

You did not see the night and day c effort tjat both teams showed. The talent level is off the charts at iowa state compared to uni and yet they whipped us. Tell me what you saw because I saw a bunch of standing around. Bad shot selection. Our big men playing bad defense and our guardz inability to realize they have 3 point shooters.

First and formost, spelling and use of the english language. You look like an uneducated bafoon, which is not a stretch.

Secondly, we didn't get whipped. We lost, but not by a lot. We were leading with 5 minutes left to go. Offense looked more stagnate that previous nights, but not horrible. We didn't push the ball as much as normal, and didn't hit a lot of shots that we normally hit. Defense was the best it's been all season. It's not perfect or great, but it's getting better. Lastly, we know we have shooters. They were off tonight. Not an excuse, just a fact. UNI is a solid team and will probably make the tournament this year.

It blows my mind that just because we play in the Big 12 we should automatically be better than any other team in a mid-major conference. By this same logic, teams like Iowa State, Kentucky, and Illinois have no excuse to have worse seasons and teams than Boise State or TCU in football. Hyperbole, of course, but these arguments people are making are idiotic.

Your right, we are an irrational bunch to be concerned after two losses to MVC teams and close wins against vastly inferior talent...

Well I wish I got paid to perform like that, but I work in the real world and with a performance out of my team like that I would be fired g-night jeses christ.

Another good post.

The biggest problem is these guys are just soft, so ******* soft. Gibson and Palo were the only guys that could finish at the rim.

Boo hoo we lost, suck it up. Time to go beat Michigan.

Yep, that's what we've been doing for the past several years now. We haven't had a winning season since 2005-6 and we've lost 5 out of the last 6 to UNI. We were owned by the MVC this year (thank God we don't have to be 30 pointed by Creighton).

I for one and not ashamed to admit that I'm P*SSED! I'm sick and tired of being a laughing stock in basketball.

One or two calls, but overall i wouldn't say it was terrible..
Maybe I'm overreacting a little.

Off the top of my head though...
  • No call on the Babb three point shot near the beginning of the 2nd half
  • Charging call on Bubu at the elbow
  • Percy got absolutely hacked when he scored a bucket during our run with about 5 left (did anyone else see this?)
  • Koch travel at the top of the key off the offense rebound during the first half.
  • Charge call on Booker in the 2nd half

There were more than just these too.

I am shocked that we lost to Drake AND UNI... and some of you are actually ok with that. That is crazy talk to me. Happy with the effort in a LOSS.... at HOME... to a MVC team. Wow. I love Fred and am totally with him. But that can't happen. Losing to one of them, ok. But not both.

When Allen banked in the jumper the defender got up under him. That one should have been called.

Kas4cy... quit following me around and posting after me. I amposting from a mobile phone and sometimes it miskeys. Not sure what I did that makes you obssessed with me. Also we did get whipped. Our guys were lost. If you except that style of basketball at iowa state then you must ne young. I have seen good basketball at iowa state and that was not it.
