I was at the game and really liked what I saw. I think the blinders are on for some of you. This team is playing harder and better than they have all season.
 
Dude, we just lost to a young, Missouri Valley Conference team...............in Hilton.

We are lost on D. We have no offense when we're not hot from 3. Our basketball IQ is comparable to most HS teams.
 
You did not see the night and day c effort tjat both teams showed. The talent level is off the charts at iowa state compared to uni and yet they whipped us. Tell me what you saw because I saw a bunch of standing around. Bad shot selection. Our big men playing bad defense and our guardz inability to realize they have 3 point shooters.

We could have easily won tonight with better defense. We let them have too many easy buckets, especially in the post.

How in the blue hell did they play harder and better than they have all season??? That is just straight up false.
 
I don't usually go against the coaches; but in tonight's game I think a lot of the blame should be on them. I agree that our players played pretty hard for the most part tonight... But when their crisp offense goes up against our odd switching defense, eventually it leaves someone open either for an easy layup or open three... And on the other side of the court, our offense is too much isolation; which makes it even harder to be successful when UNI is defensively sound. Thus, I think the coaches have to take some of the heat. JIMO
 
Have you only watched the Drake and Northern Colorado games? What we did against Providence and Rice was talent, what we did tonight was an embarassment. Hopefully this motivates them to beat Michigan.

The refs made some horrible calls against us, but it made me more upset seeing half our team getting on the refs. Let the fans do that (thats our job) the players just need to play their game. I'm not saying the refs are why we lost, but as a team they can't go off on the refs the way they were. Were going to get bad calls against us. Every team is. The team that deals with it and rises above it will win.
 
He is right we went from standing around to walking around and that is a huge improvement :jimlad:

You expect people not to be mad? If nobody is mad than there is a problem. We are supposed to beat teams like UNI and Drake.
 
Half our team didn't even play last year. Its going to take some time. I've seen improvement in each game from Drake on. The coaches in the Big XII (the people that actually know about basketball) picked us toward the bottom of the conference for a reason. So chill...... Or don't. Panic, and lose faith, because as we all know basketball is a very short season.
