What’s the rule if a guy goes unconscious during a match? I honestly have no idea.
I dunno man. It’s weird that they’d call the pin and then waive it off, but also this is wrestling. We can’t be rewarding choking guys unconscious. Bad incentive.
I think the rule is about pressure on the trachea being like an illegal hold - I think they called it strangulation and pretty sure that is the criteria

IMO he wasn't choking him out intentionally. Had a legal move and his opponent choked himself out by not rolling through (his choice). Bad call. I saw Degen do the same one time and was saved because time ran out on the period. He was able take some injury time to get woke up enough to finish. Gutsy performance by both guys. That said, I still think it was a bad call that didn't reward the wrestler who executed a legal move to gain the wbf.
Why not? If it's legal, it's part of the sport. You also shouldn't allow a guy in a tight headlock a restart for faking a choke just to get out of getting pinned.
sorry to break it to you, but going unconscious is not a part of the sport.
So you believe the pin should’ve been waived off then?
Agreed. It is just such a rare occurrence in wrestling that no one was looking for it.
