It sounds like a couple weeks ago it was a foregone conclusion that he would be dealt, but since then one of his backups has been injured. Selfishly, I'd like to see him in a Vikings uniform.

The 49ers have an aging running back. He'd do well there.
Trading Breece would be the smart thing to do for the Jets, which means he likely won't get traded.
Unless the Jets plan to give Breece some serious coin/contract length then he's gone. Jets need talent, so if they can get a 3rd/4th round pick they move on.

I’m a Jets fan and I sure hope they do. He deserves far better than that team.
I read today that the Jets are leaning towards keeping and trying to resign him, but unless he really loves the place, I can't imagine why he would sign up for that circus again. Free agent RBs haven't fared great on the open market, but I would think there would be some demand for him.

They are 1-7. I'm sure the fear on the Jets side is that Breece wants nothing to do with a rebuild and will walk after this season no matter what the Jets offer so they want to get whatever value they can out of him.
If he wants a long term career in the league he would be smart to get as far away from that organization as possible.
I would love to see him in KC, but it seems like their running game is serviceable now that all the passing weapons are back. I think they will spend their capital somewhere other than the RB room.
