Why does this happen every single time? First Niang, now Jefferson, and we are stuck not being able to advance to the elite 8 again. This one stings and it feels like we’re just trapped. I love Otz, but man, he needs to get us further than this because I don’t think us fans are satisfied with the same outcome every time. Sorry for the rant. I’m just bummed.

Edit: I’m well aware Otz wasn’t the coach when Niang got hurt in the tourney. Some people seem to think I think that.

Not sure we choked. No Jefferson was a huge problem tonight. Tennessee played the correct game to beat us. Free Throws were also bound to get us in a big game and it stung us in the 2nd half. Go Clones

Bad luck. Who knows, if Kentucky misses that shot and lost to Santa Clara, our game would have started on time and JJeff may have not twisted his ankle. Unfortunately we're on the wrong timeline.

So why do injuries happen at the worst time but Otz needs to get the 2014 team further?

Yeah. We are horrible in the sweet 16 and can’t get out of a rut no matter the year. Eventually it may happen but I guess I just have to expect us to flame out third game of the tournament every time.

Agreed. I thought the team played with great grit and heart tonight but just didn’t make enough plays and didn’t have the horses tonight. I’m frustrated and sad as heck for it to end this way tho. Makes me want to throw up that we’re out but TOE is in the elite eight

That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying the two big injuries suck, but we are also stuck never winning three games in the tourney. TJ has had three chances to win a third game in the tourney and is 0-3. Two without injured players.

I said unless the team gets it together they’re going to go out early. They righted the ship to end the season but then bowed out too early in the tourney like always.

Honestly I’m excited to have basically no expectations for football and just enjoy the ride
