This hurts and is going to have catastrophic consequences for college sports -- ones that I do not think people really understand at this point. And I mean that in two ways. People do not appreciate it, and I do not think anybody knows how bad it could get.

But I guess that is no different than many other industries right now.

I am afraid you are going to be right.

For those of us who have been shouting death to the NCAA for years, this is an incredibly ****** way to get what we wanted.

Drake, of course, because we all want that nightmare again.

The reality is with 40% of the conferences located in what will show to be a disaster in the next month, there’s no way big 12 football can be played.

we’re up to 100 deaths a day here now. And 10000 positive tests/day. So that number will increase bigly

conference games start about a month later (usually, not always) than non-conference, that's probably what the NCAA will throw out as an excuse. The reality is this is step 1 towards no games. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Obviously the Cyhawk game is the biggest talker around here, but I was looking forward to watching that Oregon-Ohio State game

Did Rome fall because they lost their gladiators or did they lose their gladiators because the empire fell?

Do cable companies have to pay the BTN the same monthly fee when there is no live sports on the channel?

Big advantage for the Big 10 if they do have to keep paying.

Let’s see if there is a season before we worry about Iowa.

I don't understand either. How is a U of I game with Rutgers more safe than a game with UNI?
I agree with your point, however, I imagine it is more about limiting exposures and keeping the bigger money games. I doubt it matters, because I think they will all get cancelled anyway.
