I don't know but damn Luka is fat, every other guy in that picture looks like a ******* athlete and Luka looks like he's breathing heavy from getting off the couch.

Boomers. And there could be a case made to swap Barkley for Malone. Gonna give up some boards doing that but Malone would stretch the floor more to an already stretched floor.
How would that Boomer team stretch the floor? That’s not a good 3P shooting team at all. MJ was mediocre, Magic wasn’t a good shooter, Barkley was terrible from 3, and Hakeem hardly ever shot any.

And that was typical of the era. One guy can’t stretch the floor. And keep in mind Bird was 37.6 career with a shorter three point line. He was an elite offensive player, shooter and scorer, particularly for his size. But you’ve got four other guys on the floor that are avg to terrible from three.

Malone had an outstanding jumpshot from 15 to 18 ft. Bird Obviously. For a true big Hakeem had great footwork and fadeway that I feel like could hit a slashing Jordan or Magic.
Not a great arc team but I'd really trust that lineup.

And how will those younger generation teams shoot the 3 in the face of a Boomer team that actually plays defense? Lol. Do you really think they're going to get the clean looks they do today vs. that team?

Boomers. And you can say the same thing in college. The greatest college games were boomers.

somebody is getting open looks, because two guys have Chuck and Magics fat asses trying to guard them out on the perimeter in space.

The boomer guys are who I identify with the most, but watching old games vs now, the skill and speed that the game is played at now is just far beyond what it was then.

Yes, back then you got clubbed going for a layup and it’s a common foul. But the no defense argument against todays NBA just doesn’t work for me.

They might play defense, but not against multiple guys who can shoot from behind the arc or even mid range for that matter.

Two guys played a large role in the boomer era: Red Auerbach and Jerry West.

I think it was assumed everyone was in their prime for this hypothetical. People really underestimate how athletic Barkley was.
