This lock icon started popping up on this site. The icon floats in such a spot that it blocks easy access to items on the left part of the screen. Research says it’s tied to ads. IMG_3828.jpeg

If you click on it, it brings up the don't sell my data to third parties stuff. After I did that yesterday, I dont see it today.

I googled it earlier:

A blue lock icon on a webpage
generally indicates that the connection to the website is encrypted and secure, meaning the data you send is protected by HTTPS. However, this does not mean the website itself is trustworthy or safe from scams, as malicious websites can also have this icon. Clicking the icon will provide more information about the website's security certificate.

My first thought was CF is telling me to go away. Locked icon is one more thing to plod through, one more irritant, maybe one step too far.

If you click on it and go to the website, it appears something set up by CF for engagement, analytics, for ad revenue etc.
