What excuse will EIU come up with?

Refs will be a gripe. Already heard it from the BIL. Although he did say that ISU deserved to win and gave them kudos.

They are a decent team - I'd expect Iowa to get to 20 wins this year. IDK if they are NCAA tourney worthy though. They will lose a lot of Big Ten games if their free throw shooting doesn't get any better. And if Fran avoids having a life ending aneurysm while arguing a call.

This is the second time they ****** away a double digit lead against a team with a pulse this year. They really haven't had a solid win yet. They have a good team, but I don't think you can say yet that they are tourney bound. They will need big wins in the Big 10, and some of them will have to be on the road.

Speaking of that..........did our bench outscored their super-duper, big balls, non stop, extraterrestrial, best in the nation bench?

This can't be! Iowa's deeeeeeeeeeeeppth is ovvvveeeeeerrrr pooooooooooooowwwwweeeeeerrriiiiing!

Iowa played like **** against Xavier. Do you find it easy to argue against pretend things in your own head?

Also, maybe you would be less obsessed with lady parts if you had seen one before. Good luck with that, maybe this will be the year.

It's laughable that you think beating ****** teams makes you good. You had your biggest challenge last night, and had you played the way you played in the games you think were your best, you would have lost by more than you did. Certainly would not have been leading with a minute left with those efforts.

Go back to hn, and get in your circle, you'll make each other believe you matter quickly enough.

I can't believe that Hawk fans haven't complained about the fact that Niang traveled on his reverse layup that gave ISU the lead. That would be a decent excuse, but they couldn't even come up with it.

I just cannot believe how much of sore losers Iowa fans are. All week we have heard about how great this Iowa team is and how they are going to beat ISU. Then after they lose they act like this Iowa team isn't good and it isn't a big win for ISU. They don't think we should be happy and excited after that win.

Go read Hawkeyenation or whatever their site is called. Absolutely 0 credit to us. It's all " We got screwed, we got screwed, we are so much better then you guys, but we played 8-5, It's because we didn't execute, you guys are so bad, have fun in the NIT, Did I mention how bad the refs were yet?" Whatever they want to cry about I guess. They still have 0 good wins this season.

For those of you who get the "What bowl game are you playing in?" trash from Iowa City fans, just tell them, "The same one you were in last year."

I've never seen it so bad after an Iowa-ISU game as far as the losing side being bitter and in attack mode. Here's a laundry list of the crap they are spouting

1. The refs screwed them
2. They are still the better team
3. Iowa State fans are lame for rushing the court (I can't really argue that)
4. It was Iowa State's Super Bowl
5. They beat us in football
6. What bowl is Iowa State going too?

Not sure why hawks come on this board and expect us to agree with their points.

I'd agree except there haven't been any "points" to agree or disagree with. theboat just makes stuff up and if you don't agree with him you are an unknowledgeable person claiming to be an expert.

The Hogue travel was much worse. I didn't come up with it because when you make mistakes like Iowa made, you can't blame the officiating. The officiating favored ISU, but it almost always favors the home team.

Also, Iowa would have won if Oglesby was healthy:jimlad:

7. How's your baseball team? Lol

I highly encourage you to check out Hawkeye Nation if you are looking for a quick laugh. The meltdown that has infected their entire Basketball forum is fantastic.

And they don't play again for awhile, it's gonna be entertaining to watch over the next week

In any sport, Iowa never gets beaten by the other team. It is always something they did, or sometimes the refs did, to lose the game. It is merely their failure to utilize their superior talent. Come on people........surely you have learned that by now. The opponent never really wins by being the better team.
