No definitive answer here, but a fun little exercise for discussion:

Auburn beat ISU 83-81
Duke beat Auburn 84-79
Kansas beat Duke 75-72
ISU beat Kansas 74-57

Fun circle of games to compare. What's the best win? Is it Auburn over ISU because because our last game made the biggest impression?
Is it Dukes game over Auburn because of Auburn's present ranking? is it Kansas over Duke (and how did they do it with the team we saw last night?) Or does our dominate win last night actually mean anything? Each could argue their side with some legitimacy. What you got?

ISU protected home court vs KU, Duke did the same to Auburn.

The other two being neutral site games would be my choices for "best win". Do we give it to KU for stepping up in a primetime event in the T-Mobile Arena? Or Auburn fighting it out over our Clones in a high school gymnasium with 50 people watching?

I'm leaning Auburn over Clones (just because they've looked like the more consistent teams thus far).

Kind of a cop-out from the question, but tells me those teams are in same zone/fairly equally matched.

If there was a neutral-site round-robin, would it be 2-1, 2-1, 1-2, 1-2?

Edited due to bad math as altered by @8bitnes :)

No, they would not all finish 2-2. Each would only play 3 games.
I believe these are the options
3-0, 2-1, 1-2, 0-3
3-0, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2
2-1, 2-1, 1-2, 1-2
2-1, 2-1, 2-1, 0-3

I'm guessing KU right now vs. Duke right now might be different.

  1. Match ups matter
  2. It's nice to have a good day.
  3. Sucks to have a bad day.
  4. Sometimes better to be the tortoise than the hare.;)

I’d say Cooper Flagg is going to be a nightmare match up for us just like he is for everyone else.

My take from that is that I would really love to play Auburn again and think it was a fluke they won the first time. We were ahead by 18 early in the game and kind of let up on the gas after that.

I think Kansas goes 0-3 and the rest could wind up 2-1.
Kansas has been exposed as not having much for offensive weapons.
I think they will do alright and there will be nights they go off offensively. They are strong on D which means they will keep games close. Not every team is going to have strong enough post play to counter Dickenson either.

I don't know which one is the best win - but ours is definitely the best loss.

They also probably benefitted from having played some real competition before then when we were coming in playing our first real game
