If you get up to the Waterloo area, Bremer Brewing in Waverly has been really good lately. My wife brought me home 4 packs of the DDH Citra IPA and basic lager and they were both awesome
Hows Pivo doing these days?

I finally came across the Legally Blond by Gezelig and it's damn near identical to Blonde Fatale. Backpocket producing the Peace Tree brands really make their lineup even more solid now.

It probably is. Gezelig’s brewer created it
Yup, when I was searching awhile back to see who may still have some Blonde Fatale left they replied to a post that the creator was working for them now and they had a similar beer. Finally found some in town and its damn near identical. Maybe just a hint more banana flavor than the original but has all the same notes and flavor I thought. I tried the Backpocket Muderhorn beer and it's pretty similar as it is a Belgian too but it really packs a punch with an ABV of 10.2%. The Fatale was 8.5% and the Legally Blond is 8% but the Legally Blond also comes in a 16 oz can.

I'm thrilled Backpocket is bringing back the Peace Tree brands. The Blonde Fatale was probably my favorite craft beer and I was disappointed when I couldn't find it anymore and have been on a mission trying to find a comparable beer. The Red Rambler was another I liked too. I had a hunch they may make a comeback but I was not overly optimistic. I know a guy that works for Exile and he had mentioned he thought one of the local breweries would likely buy the Peace Tree beers at some point as they are Iowa staples and would be a good return on investment for whoever purchased the rights to them even it if didn't involve buying the entire brewery operation.

I think Backpocket has been knocking it out of the park lately with their brews and adding the Peace Tree brands is only going to enhance that. The new version of the Jack Trice "The Legend" beer that is a wheat ale is really good. My wife is pretty selective in what kind of craft beers she will drink as she doesn't like anything that is too hoppy of heavy/dark and The Legend is probably her favorite beer at the moment. I even get the "don't drink my beer!" when I grab one out of the fridge even though I was the first one to bring it into the house so if she is that possessive of it then I know it must be pretty good.

I am lit on Ames Lager, "I Will" beer (although that is what I was drinking when we tried to give the game away), more Ames Lager, and now some schnaaps.

I've actually reduced my drinking by quite a bit over that past month, but then tonight happened.

Are you in Hawaii now? If so congrats.

My wife and I spent 19 days in Hawaii last January after saving years for that trip. OMG our timing could not have been better. Maui at 80 degrees vs Iowa at -10. Hmm. I think we have a winner!

Photo was fuzzy, here's what I've got. Easy drinking.
