Looks perfect for Misery meltdown. Winds from the NE around 20 mph and 39 degrees at kickoff! Beautiful day in Iowa!

what was the wind (mph) during the nubby game?
Around 25 mph from the south.

No doubt these weather conditions favor us. I know this not like playing a Texas team, but Mizzou does play in weather like this alot.

They play in it as often as we do, and recruit players from the same places as us, so I don't buy that they are a any less of a cold weather team than we are. I think the weather will be an impact because of the styles of these teams. We're not going to be looking to wing the ball around all night like MIzzou would like to. We both run the spread offense but theirs has much different philosophies.

Pros: This will hurt their passing attack for 2 quarters.
Cons: We still have to stop their running game, the deep ball will be easier for 2 quarters.

Someone turn up the heat in the MO football palyers hotel Friday night. Get them ready for the tundra. Play wind sounds overr the loudspeaker system. Chant, "Baby it is cold outside" when the ball is hiked. Sell hot totties only to Mizzou players.

Thankfully its not supposed to cool off as much as the game two years ago but I did an adequate job that night with layers. Perhaps one less layer this time cause its gonna be so balmy :twitcy:

Average temp on Nov 20 in Ames is 42. Average temp on Nov 20 in Columbia is 51. I don't think we will win the game because it is colder than Columbia. But we play in significantly colder weather on a yearly basis (at home) than they do.
