We Will Pizza!

What is up with their pepperoni pizza? The last 2 I have bought some of the pepperoni has not been good. They look different and taste worse.

Is it actually a pepperoni as well? If so it’s missing the USDA inspection legend.
was just looking for some today. went to grimes Hyvee only had pepperoni and garlic cheese and pepperoni looked bad. Didn't see breakfast or any other kinds. went to 86th street and found the breakfast and meat lovers . They had garlic cheese and pepperoni also but no bacon cheeseburger or other kinds. Where do they keep the bacon cheeseburger at or are they out. HyVee needs to stock the shelves with all of them like they do some of those other pizzas. reason 2000 I dislike HyVee shopping.

Unless they have complete changed the crust that was not a GF crust that I have ever seen. Too flat same color as the ones next to it not labeled GF.

Grimes' display is misleading. It only shows two varieties, but if you dig past the front ones, there are some other varieties. My conspiracy theory is that the frozen food manager is a Hawkeye fan and manipulates the display so these don't sell and they can justify not stocking them anymore.

Trust me I’m pushing as hard as possible. We’re at the mercy of a lot of individual store and freezer directors.
Im shocked it’s this much of a challenge. I would have thought that HyVee having a corporate structure would take some of the power away from local managers, especially in things that are “must stocks” such as I’m assuming the We Will Pizzas are. I can’t imagine HyVee corporate would be cool with a store if the store just stopped stocking HyVee branded items because the store director says so.

Not blaming you, just commenting how weird it is that individual stores have more power than the headquarters so it seems.
They don’t in theory, it was supposed to be mandated. But apparently consistency in stores can be an issue.

I also subscribe to the conspiracy theory. I inquired with my local store and was told that they were in the back freezer a little over a month ago. They did not get put out until last week. I have been in the store twice since then and bought three each time. Plan on doing that each time I go.

@brentblum any way to get at least one or two HyVee stores in the Twin Cities to carry the pizza. No reason it wouldn’t do really well with the amount of alumni up here.
We've definitely asked! I've learned way too much about pizza/grocery distribution and planograms. It's more complicated than I realized.

I dont understand how that happens. There is a difference in color and the ones that look bad are not consumable. Hopefully they get it fixed.

You ABSOLUTELY change the store towards your local market. Tofu and avocado don't sell as well in Iowa as say... California. So you definitely change the product selection towards the local market.

I understand HyVee is a little more clustered than national brands but if your ideas of a top down approach, then Iowa is not the demographic they're gonna shoot for and you guys are all gonna have a bad time.

Shark Tank is a small stupid example of how difficult it can be. Every time there is a food product, investors don't want any of that nonsense because getting shelf space is critical and almost impossible to get regularly.
