Big 12's version is pretty sweet:

Iowa State’s Ashley Joens earned Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Emily Ryan was tabbed the Freshman of the Week. A five-person media panel selects the honorees.

Joens led Iowa State to a win over No. 6 Baylor in Waco, scoring 14 of her 27 points and grabbing six of her 12 rebounds in the fourth quarter, as she led ISU to its first win in Waco since 1997. Joens led ISU with a 30-point, 15-rebound performance as ISU handed Oklahoma State its first Conference loss of the season. On the week, Joens averaged 28.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, while shooting 52.6 percent from the field.

Ryan scored 15 points, hauled in five rebounds and dished three assists as Iowa State took down No. 6 Baylor in Waco, snapping BU's 61-game home win streak. The freshman also stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, six rebounds and six assists against Oklahoma State.

Joens collected her third weekly honor of the season and ninth of her career, while Ryan picked up a freshman accolade for the second time.

Edit for Lexi's second award

Okay, POW for week 9 isn't a big surprise.

B12_POW_COMBO.png

Texas junior center Charli Collier was tabbed the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while TCU’s Aja Holmes was selected as Freshman of the Week. A five-person media panel selects the honorees.

Collier averaged 22.5 points, 19.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game to lead Texas in wins over TCU and Iowa State last week. Against TCU, she scored 23 points and grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds which was only the eighth time that a Longhorn finished with 20-plus rebounds in a single game. Collier scored 22 points, grabbed 19 rebounds and blocked three shots in Texas' road win over No. 24 Iowa State on Saturday night.

Holmes boasted an average of 8.5 points, while shooting 50 percent from three-point range on the week. She tied a season-high with four three-pointers made and 14 points in TCU's come-from-behind win over Texas Tech. Holmes also managed to go 2-for-2 from the free throw line in the game. - Big12sports.com

Wow, that freshman of the week award for week 9 was just there looking for somebody to have a good week. Pretty modest stats.

Way to go Kylie!!! ISU freshmen have now earned 5 out of 11 Freshman of the Week honors. I sure hope Aubrey steps up in MEM's absence and joins the honor roll in the future.

Five of eleven freshman awards. I realize that ISU's chances are better with three freshman starters, but that is crazy.

A quick update.

No Big12 awards for ISU players this week.

It's a sweep by Okie State.

Lexy Keys earns her second freshman of the week honor (Doarski and Ryan each has two as well).

Natasha Mack collects her third player of the week honor (Ashley Jones also has three).

Hard to argue too much with these.

Oklahoma State women’s basketball swept Week 11 awards, as Natasha Mack earned Big 12 Player of the Week and Lexy Keys was tabbed Freshman of the Week. A five-person media panel selects the award winners.

Mack averaged a double-double of 22.5 points and 18.5 rebounds in wins over Kansas and Oklahoma. She recorded her 12th and 13th double-doubles of the year, extending OSU’s win streak to five games. Mack matched her season high with 19 rebounds in OSU's win over Kansas, while she scored 19 points on an 8-of-15 shooting effort. Against Oklahoma, Mack connected on 12 of her 17 shot attempts from the floor on her way to a team-high 26 points, while she grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds.

Against Kansas, Keys hit a career-high seven field goals on 10 attempts and scored a career-high 19 points against the Jayhawks. She matched her career high with four 3-pointers on just six attempts. Keys scored five points in OSU's win over in-state rival Oklahoma, grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds, while dishing out five assists.

What's a great game by Lexi. She bounced back from the lowest point to the highest. With her performance in the TCU game, I predict she'll win her third "Freshman of the Week" award on Presidents' Day.

As to the Player of the Week, I think it's among OU's Madi Williams, K-State's Ayoka Lee, Texas' Charli Collier, and Baylor's
NaLyssa Smith, pending on the Texas-Baylor matchup later today.

Oklahoma’s Madi Williams was selected as Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Iowa State’s Lexi Donarski earned Freshman of the Week for Week 12. A five-person media panel selects the award winners.

Williams averaged a double-double, accounting for 24.0 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game, as she led OU to a pair of wins. Against Iowa State, Williams scored 27 on 13-for-21 (61.9%) shooting and collected 13 rebounds for her first double-double of the season and the 14th of her career. The junior scored 21 at West Virginia and sparked OU's 15-0 run in the fourth quarter to lead the Sooners past the Mountaineers. Williams nearly had a triple-double in that contest as she also pulled down eight rebounds while dishing eight assists to go with her 21 points.

Donarski dropped a career-high 32 points, setting an Iowa State freshman record for points in a game in the win over TCU. She went 10-of-14 from the field, shooting 71.4 percent. She connected on six treys, added five boards and two assists in the contest.

This is Williams’ second award of the season, while Donarski picked up her third freshman honor.
