WBB Recruiting

Ellie Spelhaug, freshman at Bradley, is transferring to ISU to play softball. Will have four years of softball eligibility starting next season. Guessing she could play basketball in 2020-21 if she wants. Will join her little sister, a 2019 commit, on the softball team. Kinda neat, they will get to play with each other for four years.

John Medders is Lyndey's Dad and I believe he is in the Medical field so could he be recruiting?

The Tweet:

Lyndsey Fennelly @LyndseyFennelly

Tiger wins the Master’s
Dad gets a commitment
Will hits up Globetrotters
Callie usual crazy self

Who is her Dad in the quote? I assume Bill (F-I-L). So Dad (Bill) got a recruit, right?

I was reading it as her kids' dad (Billy) since that's not an unusual way to refer to your spouse when you have kids. But we could be completely misinterpreting this and it has nothing to do with basketball.

Yes, that is my guess. But based on pretty circumstantial evidence at this point.

It is the Jarosinski girl. a 6-3 post transferring from Wake Forest. She's originally from Illinois. She'll have to sit out a year, I believe, then have three to play three.

Wow, according to the official release, she's grown 2 inches since she was a 6-3 F for Wake Forest a couple of weeks ago.

One note: this really loads up the 2023 graduating class despite only having two incoming freshmen (McGraw and McBride). Jarosinski's redshirt year plus Kane's and Fredericks' redshirt years last year puts five players in that class.

She grows and shrinks a lot. Prospects Nation had her at 6-4 in an article than at 6-5 in her profile there while WF had her at 6-3 and now she's back to 6-5 again. ;)

Had to look up Wake Forest to see how they have been doing. One NCAA appearance and one winning record in conference play in their entire history. Dat pretty bad.

By the time she sees the floor she may be the tallest ever to play anywhere! I like her already.:D
