Agree #15 was likely way too high but that is still a pre-season which is mostly voted on what you did last year. Guessing that was heavy influenced by Joens being back and us coming off of a win over Baylor and a good conference standing. The polls will sort out a bit after a few weeks assuming the whole thing doesn't unravel.
We are shooting a ton of threes but only making 21% That will, of course, improve. It's not like they will be teaching some kids without a history of being shooters to make threes. Most of the new gals were good from that distance in HS. The Jackrabbits hit 35% against us and we hit 19%. We hit 35% as a team last year. New kids aren't afraid to launch em but they looked a little hurried in the Omaha game to my untrained eye. 6 foot gals are finding themselves guarded by other 6 foot gals and not some shorter or slower opponent. And AAU doesn't exactly have the reputation of being predicated on defense. Welcome to Div 1! Going to be an adjustment without the usual easy marks on the schedule to learn and improve. Going to be an up and down ride IMHO. I am going to just go ahead and assume the SD State game was a huge wake up call.
