WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Well, Prince was held scoreless & fouled out against ISU....

Just saying..

I do enjoy watching HVL. She needs to have a big 4th Q!!! Go Frogs!!
Wasn't a huge fan of HVL for a while, but not sure if it's feeling bad for her at LSU, her Olympic journey, or this year at TCU, but I've really turned around on her.

Prince pretty much a no show today. Not a pretty shooting game by either team. TCU shot a whopping 27% from the field and had 21 turnovers (leading to 17 points) . Texas (gag) is back in the Final Four.

Hoping Iriafen and USC can power through the adversity. Can’t help but cheer for them putting up such a fight even though it’s been a tough road.

TCU's backup center unironically has been more productive and helpful than Prince both in stats and effect on the game.
Same story as our game against TCU: Prince does absolutely nothing before fouling out then the backup comes in and goes 3-5 for 6 pts and 8 rebounds.

Never ceased to be amazed at how stupid players are after they get a turnover and think that attacking the rim in a 1 on 2 or even 1 on 3 is the best move for their team. Lol. Just so dumb.

Watching this USC/UConn game…the speed at which the teams are moving is amazing. Night and Day different from the Texas/TCU game.

Both are extraordinary players
Hopefully this doesn't derail the thread, but I had a thought that I'm curious what you and others think: why did CC become a national phenomenon while PB has largely gone unnoticed by national media?

To be fair, PB is getting plenty of attention from ESPN and other media outlets. She's not a nobody, but you don't see her face EVERYWHERE like CC was. Last year, you couldn't watch any WBB game without hearing something about CC, even in games that didn't involve her.

I'm wondering if it was some combination of: CC's consistent deep 3s that made for great highlights, CC's outlandish nature/behavior that draws eyeballs, and the fact that she was the "first" to get all the big attention. Now, WBB is a little more normalized with national attention so PB being so good is not as novel.
