WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

If ESPN app is correct, Cooke is only SC started to have scored!

Yes it does, but should not surprise anyone. SC is huge, but really not that skilled at all. Iowa is very skilled and will wear SC out running like they do.

Iowa will likely win the whole thing.
We will see. SC is not as skilled, but has superior depth. SC isn't going to wear out. They can do line changes. Boston sat most of the half.

SC is likely to wear down Iowa in the 2nd half. It's the sort of physical ball Cyclone fans usually hate. It's old Baylor a bit more than current Texas but same thing just with more talent than Texas puts on the floor.

Gotta give Iowa big kudos for game planning and execution in that first 20 minutes. Saw a bunch of Iowa shots get blocked that would have been layups vs any other team than SC even with Boston benched.

Agree with you.

We will see if Iowa can keep this up or not? I hope not.

SC has to like where they are for sure. No Boston at all basically, and down 1. Where would Iowa be if they sat Clark the entire 1st half?

Iowa is more talented though. But I’m hoping that SC just wears them out.

Iowa played about as well as they could have hoped for against the #1 team and SC sat their best player for an entire quarter and is only down 1.

Iowa has to keep speeding the game up and someone other than Clark is going to have to hit some 3s. SC has to rebound everything and continue to play physical defense. They gotta figure out something on the pick and roll too because they are bad. I might drop another defender off the shooter Iowa has in the corner and make them make a couple 3s before sticking with them. Might keep Clark out of the lane or the roll from getting a wide open layup.

Iowa only managed 12 rebounds with Boston sitting most of the half.

SC bench outscoring Iowa19-2.

Not sure why they don’t go with a 3/2 zone with their height and size.

Iowa only with 4 3-pt makes. I figured they would need at least 16 like they did vs Louisville to win this. They still might need them, but if SC defense doesn't tighten up, they might not.
