It may not end up mattering given the scrum at the top too, but I’m cheering for us sneaking up to sixth. Seems unlikely but maybe one of those four loss teams drops a few more. My initial reason was I would rather not go against TCU if we could avoid it, but it’s hard to predict where they end up. I’m not really scared of them even in particular, just would rather some of the others. If we play our best, I think we can beat any of them. If not, well, we’ve seen what happens.
Right there with you. No one in the conference worries me. This team when it’s playing good team ball (as we've seen lately) can beat anyone in the conference…especially on a neutral court.

OSU may really come to regret those losses to lesser teams.

May? I think those losses are probably already tormenting the gals on that team.

If it was golf they birded and eagled the hardest holes on the course and than took a couple of double bogeys on the easiest holes.

Still, they have to be the surprise team, coaches picked them for 11th. The only other teams way off the coaches predictions are our Cyclones and maybe Kansas to a lesser extent. Good news is we now look to be playing a little bit more like the co-favorites the coaches predicted.

Beating Baylor on the road (and it was a spanking). Utah last night at their place, very impressive. Losing to Houston ?? Almost suspicious.

But the "EGG" of the year goes to SMU. Leading Pittsburg at the half by 31 points. Losing by 13 !!! Zero points in the 3rd quarter. Massive choke. Should make the front page of SI.

For being a veteran team, Utah fell apart last night in the 4th quarter. Give OSU credit; their defense had Utah out of sorts, but for a team that starts four seniors, a redshirt junior, and of their four off the bench, two are juniors, they were a disaster.

Zona comes back to win 74-72 in OT. 2 free throws with 1.3 left for the final margin.

That was pathetic. Inexcusable for the refs decide the outcome there. Should've been a charge on Arizona if anything.

I started watching in the beginning of the fourth quarter and UH got NO Calls. It was almost like the refs thought Arizona was supposed to win so did everything they could to make it happen. AZ pressed and trapped the whole 4th Qtr and had 2 fouls with under a minute to go in the game.

Our next opponent, UCF, beat Texas Tech 61-60.

Fritz & Bristow really decided to go waste a year of their lives playing for Gerlich.
I had Jalynn Bristow pegged to be a star at TTU, which explains why I should keep my day job. She's "down" in nearly every statistical category this year:
11.3 Minutes / Game vs 15.1 at ISU
.398 Shooting % (on 93 shots) versus .477 at ISU (on 128 shots)
.270 3PT% (on 37 shots) versus .379 at ISU (on 58 shots)
3.7 Points / Game versus 5.1 Points / Game at ISU
2.2 Rebounds / Game versus 3.7 Rebounds / Game at ISU

I haven't watched much TTU lately, but the last game I saw they primarily had Jalynn standing in a corner where she couldn't play to one of her strengths, knifing in for offensive rebounds.

Gerlich must be a fantastically bad coach. It seems like where all promising players' careers go to die.

She is, and her contract is up this year. We will see how much TTU cares about women's basketball, because any good AD would can her. She is currently 23-65 in the Big 12 over her time at TTU and 74-80 overall.

You kind of look at it on who you going to get? Wasn't it Tech that gave $25000 for each player a couple of years ago and still isn't good.
Most of Gerlich's wins are against sub 100 teams. I am sure she is gone. Shavers is a good player and Maupin can be but a hot head. Some wasted talent on that team.

As someone mentioned above, I would love to get a good point/2 guard with point skills. I think more players will stay than you think. I have 1 guess but not wanting to put that into the universe. If a player gets a better offer (aka $$) to go elsewhere, they are not type of players I want on my team. I want players that want to be here. More than money and basketball. And hopefully they see the grass isn't always greener. See Fritz, Van Lith, etc..
