That’s the thing about Crooks- she plays in class 1A- she doesn’t have to work hard and she stands around the lane on defense- she will have a ton to learn to play at the D1 level.
She plays AAU ball against other future Div I athletes, so I'm not too worried about that

I've watched Crooks a few times the last four years. I am so curious how Fennelly will use her. I still think her conditioning and athleticism will need a lot of work, but her touch around the hoop is just unreal and she should absolutely be a part of the offense

I haven't watched her at all and her potential jumps out immediately. She's not just big, she has incredible hands, and a great feel around the hoop. Could be pretty special with the right development.

49 points for Crooks and a second state championship. She's got some work to do to play at the college level but wow, she dominated and set a couple of state tournament records. We will still be good next year with a great freshman group and some good veterans back as well.

Crooks finishes with a tournament record 49 points for the game.

And yes, she will have lot to learn in college but she has the best hands - an amazing ability to catch the ball! And she has a soft touch.

I don’t know how physical she can play because she is always the biggest/tallest person on the court. We all know how physical the inside can get in Big 12 play can get does she have it? If I was betting she will probably need to redshirt her first year.
Bill didn't recruit her based on what she does in 1A ball. They watch what happens on the AAU circuit and every coach knows there's something special with the natural talent and they can coach the rest.

Won't probably be popular but Joyce was the MVP of that game. She didn't completely neutralize the N-F press but she did as well as anyone against it in recent memory if I had to guess.

She picked that press apart. I'd still say that after breaking the press having an automatic two points from Audi carried that team, but more of a team victory than the stat sheet will show for sure.

I didn't watch this game, but I've been very impressed with Joyce in past BG games I've seen. She's a very solid guard.

Joyce will be a good addition to Drake's team. Maybe even great and likely a torn in our side.

Joyce is going to Truman State, not Drake. I wonder how many assists she had. She put that ball on a dime to Crooks.

I hope Crooks can play in the big 12. I wish her and ISU the best.
Positives: Smile can light up Hilton. She’s very strong - girls were bouncing off her and she lifted one off the ground on a joint rebound. Those hands - she captures everything near her!

Possible Negatives: Those simple flipped entry passes aren’t going to work in college against better athletes. She had a few shots blocked by small 1A high school girls from behind. She doesn’t play much defense - opponent was getting free looks from 8’ and Audi didn’t even try to close out.

I think she’s going to be a fine Cyclone - just not certain it’ll be immediate.

Was at the game last night and you summed it up perfectly.

She's usually pretty good at keeping the ball high where the guards can't get it.

Crooks leans into what works for her. Almost every player coming out of high school is going to have flaws, especially players that were able to physically dominate their competition. There is so much "Ya, but" regarding Audi it baffles me. She's a fantastic prospect. It's as simple as that. Her offer list supports this. Is she a blue-chipper, can't miss stud that will dominate at the college level? Probably not, but if she was she would be going elsewhere as Stanford, UConn, LSU, etc would have been all over her. That doesn't mean she doesn't have the potential to be an outstanding player - and if she does pull it all together - look out!

Bill clearly has a plan for her and I hope she flourishes in whatever role that may be. Give me a prospect with her attributes any day of the week. She is an ELITE inside scorer. She locks down real estate and will hold up against when other teams get physical inside (a huge weakness of our women's team historically.)

The future looks bright for this team going forward and I'm pumped Audi will play a role in it.
