WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

I have no insider info to contribute, but I keep coming back to the question, "what changes next year?" Unless we get outstanding transfers in, which are no guarantee, the main cast is still the same. It's the same offense as previous years. Nothing changes.

I could easily see AB and JW transferring to KU to be closer to home.

If Bill stays, I wouldn't mind what Creighton did bringing in the next coach as a lead assistant for the year, so there is no downtime from Mac leaving and the new guy stepping in.

Maybe Jory Collins? He could bring with him several NDSU players, including their stud big to pair with Audi.

Aaron Roussell is interesting (Although he graduated from TOE).

A young female coach wouldn't be bad either, I just don't know of many with ties to ISU, the state, or region

That dumpster fire wouldn’t be on my destination list.

They had a roster in place to contend and the preseason polls reflected that. Obviously injuries impacted final results as well as defensive issues that need to be addressed and it remains to be seen if those issues get addressed this off-season with roster additions and coaching/scheme. As posted in the BF thread, a 6-2 type of athlete who is capable of starting would enable Bill to play more zone and cover up Audi's lack of defensive mobility. Can't play zone with Jada, Hare and AJ all on the court with Audi and Addy.
BF has known he needed a 6’2” type athlete who capable of starting the past two off seasons. I don’t see much changing.

Young team with two first team all conference performers, conference freshman of the year and a top 20 incoming recruiting class. They're in the WBIT quarterfinals gaining additional experience. I'd call them a program on the rise which could benefit greatly from a one year transfer or two.

Except for their coach and major lack of support.

Yeah, Bill thought Paulk would fill that role (despite being 6-0) but her injuries and lack of outside shooting limited her projected minutes. Paulk's contribution next season could be much more impactful but Bill still needs to pursue the 6-2 type athlete who could enable more zone D to cover for Audi.

I hope Jada, Audi, and Addy have some relationships with players that they can get to transfer for their senior seasons. If we get some athletic players to come I think it would be because of them and the possibility of being really good. I don’t see girls coming because of Bill- his temperament and probable retirement soon.
It’ll be interesting.
Hard part will be attracting players. Not easy to ask a player to come in to feed Audi the ball.

I agree. Missed with Paulk and Missed with Harris the previous year. Both are ok role players with limitations to their game. Need a long athlete with some offensive game. That is going to be hard sale to someone if we have 7 would be seniors coming back that all played last year. And we have had no tournament success.

Or Okie St.

I don't think much of their coach but what is the "lack of support"? there. Obviously getting some support with some of the recruits they are getting, they aren't coming because the coach is some sort of crackerjack proven winner. Jaliya Davis is a top recruit and maybe a future Big 12 POY. They are adding another three top 100's for 2026.
