WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

I got a friend in Austin that I've known since a child. Engineering professor and served for years on the athletic board. Been retired for about 8 years now but still keeps up with everything. He called about 10:00 this morning and he's not liking what he's seeing at UT as well as many other places. He believes the Longhorns are going to get completely gutted. I think 5 seniors are gone, plus 4 in the portal and he thinks at least 2 more will be announcing within 2 days. Right now there's enough players in the portal to field 111 complete teams if you figure 12 per team. Disgusting to say the least.

They’ll keep Booker and their Freshman class. Which is really all they need. Everyone else was pretty much replaceable

They are sitting at 4 on the roster right now and have 5 signed, so they are at 9 total. Even if they lose two more, they will have seven and Texas has money to throw at players, so Vic will get whatever he needs.

Hell money shouldn't be the problem down there is it? Kids just don't like being coached hard?

Here’s something I didn’t know. Interesting tidbit about Ivy League rules.View attachment 170176
Ive known this because of wrestling and with olympic redshirts and amount of injuries those guys use this rule to their advantage now. Hans Brace on the mens side we got because of this rule also, but yeah probably a blessing for those players. Get an Ivy degree and can cash a check for their 5th year if they can get it before they head off to probably law or med school.

Posting only because she from Davenport. Guess Illinois makes sense for proximity and PT.

Not one of X trusted WBB sources but is a real reporter and not a social media gadfly or troll.

Reload starting.

She was far from the best player on the Stanford team. Best rebounder, yes, otherwise the rest of her stats are average. She has a long way to go to be Marta Suarez's replacement and won't be surrounded by near as much talent. There will be no All-American PG and the real glue that held them together Donovyn Hunter is gone.
