***WBB: 2026 Recruiting Thread***

Kyrah Daniels reportedly withdrew her name from the portal. OP updated accordingly.
Saw somewhere on twitter she had a lisfranc injury and was unlikely to play next season. Her withdrawing makes sense

I mean are you at all surprised? Clearly by the max exodus, our former players were tired of either

a) Audi being the focal point and running a boring and generic offense
b) Bill playing favorites like he always has
c) Combination of a and b

It's not a good look when you have that many players, especially high key players like Audi, Addy, and Jada all entering the portal.....the Reagan Wilsons' and Aili Tankes' of the world transferring are not surprising...those are "I want playing time" type transfers. The core three all transferring speaks volumes about deeper rooted issues.

So it's no wonder we aren't getting high key transfers, especially when our AD made it apparent that they'd only be playing one year under Bill's leadership anyway.
Oklahoma St had the same issues losing high profile players we did and lost everyone. they just happened to find a billionaire in the two weeks after their season ended to when the portal opened.

Valid points, but the core three also had realize that together they just weren't enough to make a deep run. No reason to stay at ISU given what we could pay them, regardless of any other issues.

Audi => more money at OSU
Jada => more money and final four program at LSU
Addy => more money and final four program at UCLA

With the maybe lame duck status of a 69 year old coach in the last year of his contract I am surprised we got anything much at all. As fans we don't know what's really going on with the coaching status. I am starting to think he ain't retiring.

ISU lost nine players to the portal including a second team All American, two McDonalds All Americans (both current or former 1st Team Big XII), and another starter, along with five depth players.

OSU lost (three players to graduation and) 8 to the portal, none of whom were All American or 1st Team Big XII. Only 2 starters, Achol Akot and the oft- transient Amari Whiting. Jadyn Wooten was first off the bench. Lena Girardi was a promising freshman. Macey Huard didn’t play last season. Tyla Heard, Faith Acker and Favor Onah were non-factors.

People need to stop saying OSU’s transfer portal losses were similar to ours. They’re not even close to like quality and not nearly as damaging to the program, both immediate and multi-season.

They offered Stailee Heard everything they had to stay and she stayed. If they didn't find the billionaire that's all they would've had. Look where everyone else went. They entered to get paid. They lost two very promising freshman and better role players then we did. We lost 3 stars.

What roster would you have preferred next year.

Audi somehow takes half of what she got and find 12 players willing to take $0

Pay Jada what she got and find 12 players willing to take 0-10k a piece

Pay Addy what she got and find 12 players willing to take 0-10k a piece

Find seniors who have proven it at the MM level and pair with promising freshman with upside

They kept their star and added two because they found money we lost our 3 stars because we couldn't find money

I'm going with D) Money, I think you are understating the lack of money ISU is spending on WBB which IMO is the main reason for the high profile transfers and lack of high profile signings. Not the only reason but a big reason.

Yet they beat our all stars twice.

I mean Jamie made it seem in his video a few weeks ago that Bill will be coaching one more season to fulfill his contract...he didn't say that verbatim but that was the gist of that portion of the video.

I don't doubt that they're all not getting paid more (the core three of Audi, Addy, and Jada), but I also think Addy and Jada got tired of playing second fiddle to Audi.....Bill is notorious for latching onto one player and running everything through that one player. I'm fairly certain that's why Denae Fritz and Lexi Donarski transferred...they wanted out of Ashley Joens' shadow.

I think that also played a part why her two sisters left that and wanted more playing time.

Totally agree....and for Kelsey, I think it's been a good move for her. I'm sure Aubrey was happier at OU but it was a little baffling considering she got way less playing time there than she did here. Lexi was about the same level of player, but I'd say UNC is much more balanced of a roster than what we have had recently.

Charlotte Tuhy: 6'1" F American U. (Washington D.C./ Patriot League) 3 years of eligibility left, hometown Madison N.J.. Stats: Ave. 30 m./, ppg, 11 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.4 blocks/g.

"After a school record-setting regular season performance as a freshman, and a campaign that put her name in the national spotlight, freshman forward Charlotte Tuhy has been selected as a member of both the Third Team All-Patriot League and the Patriot League All-Rookie team, the conference announced Friday. As a freshman, this honor marks the first postseason awards of Tuhy' career.

Tuhy, as a freshman, is the only Eagle to finish the regular season averaging a double-double, picking up 11.6 ppg and 11.2 rpg. Tuhy started in all of American's 29 regular season games this year. The forward finished second on the AU squad in scoring and 14th in the Patriot League. She led the league almost every week of the season in rebounding. Tuhy is third in the league in blocks (33) and finished the season averaging 32.6 minutes per game. Tuhy's .406 field goal percentage is second highest on the squad at the conclusion of the regular season."

Tuhy ended H.S. with over 2,000 points. She can block, has better than average speed, good defense on bigger players, release a tad slow but hits from all over. For Iowa State this lady could develop and as crunch time is arriving she is worth a chance as a low dollar NIL front court pickup.

Not close in quality, but the depth of loses is similar. Still causes them to do a near total rebuild albeit with a single strong piece to build around.

Fritz was promised things at Baylor that never came to fruition.
