Walking Dead

I thought when they were getting the car ready to go, Daryl said they were taking it because it was the fastest vehicle they had. I agree that they should have some kind of zombie-plow SUV for runs but they thought this was the correct answer.

I remember them saying it was the fastest car, but are they going to be driving 100mph all the way there and back vs only 65 in a slower SUV? No.

If I'm in that situation, I always go out expecting the worst case scenario.

How far out were they when they reached the horde of "walkers?" I worry, because Glen is SICK! He's a good guy that hooked up with hottness. Freaking get to the meds!

This. I never understood why when they go to the sights that have Hummers or come upon a lifted 4x4 they don't snag them. Sure, fuel efficiency is a problem but if you're going on short runs you don't have to worry about the kind of stuff like what happened this past episode, a pickup would not get hung up on a pile of zombies, throw it in 4 and take off. Also, there have to be some places around that have some sort of cow catcher or plow, I know its Georgia but they DO get snow occasionally, put a blade on and run through the walkers!
Why do that when you can drive the loudest motorcycle ever made? :jimlad:

Tyrese would have definitely been a goner. They didnt grab at him or anything. The slowly caressed him as he obliterated their faces.

Interesting to think about.

Are the zombies slowing down a little, since they are no longer fresh and aren't getting fresh meat?

I have a feeling they will get back with something just in time to save Glen. They've invested a lot into the Glen and Maggie relationship and I would think they would keep that going for at least another season.

at some point you have to wonder how so many zombies keep going....I mean their supply of "food" is getting quite scarce.

I guess, I would have also take a 4x4. If nothing else, because it can offroad in case a road is blocked.

The thing I wonder about the hoard, is I remember the Governor saying something about where the prison was at was in some kind of 'bad" zone. I imagine we see the group relocate again this season. We heard the radio....

Was that building behind the horde the veterinary place they were trying to get to? If they still have a ways to go Glen's odds aren't looking great. I don't think they'll kill him off though.

Exactly, like you're going to be going 100 mph down a winding country road when a walker could lurch out in front of you at any moment.

The vehicles in the show have been some of the most blatent product placement I have seen. At least they are making them a little dirty now. In previous seasons they looked like they had just had them detailed.

Agree with having a 4X4 truck.

And I think the zombies are slowly rotting into nothing. I mean they are dead so eventually they will just fall apart right?

Kinda like that one that was confined to the tree stump, I guess. (The one that Herschel and Carl saw.) But I doubt the show really goes down that story path... they need "Zombie" presence throughout the series. And the argument will always be that they showed them eating wildlife...thus, walkers will always be around.

Do you think the 4 in the car are going to take all season to get back with the others at the prison at this point? I am starting to think this way.

WAIT! Walking Dead... WalkingCY?

This thread is your destiny.

We need someone good at photoshop to "Dead" you avatar. Pronto!

I almost crapped my pants when I saw the horde of zombies in front of the car. They did a nice job slowly raising the camera to gradually show them all. It was like...oh thats a bunch, but doable....ok thats a bunch more..time to turn the car around....HOLY **** RUN FOR YOUR DAMN LIVES
I was thinking they really needed a 4x4 with V-nose snow plow on the front.

I could see that. They show Rick and Carol looking for medicine in a nearby town so I assume the group of four doesn't find a quick way home. I'm wondering if that group is the one that will run across the governor first around the split season finale. What's left at the prison is a pretty boring group now though.

I remember that and I was wondering why they needed a fast car to only drive 65 miles.

I agree with most of the talk about using a 4X4 but I'll give them a pass. If a good friend of mine was dying and maybe only had a couple hours left, I'd probably at least consider taking the sports car and just hauling ***. Plus reliability might have been a factor at this point. The longer it goes the harder its going to be to keep things running and Darryl stated that Zach "Kept it running pretty good."

I noticed Tyrese's eye in the sneak peek to next week's episode. It was fully open I think and right now it's almost completely shut. It makes me wonder how much time will have passed by the time they're in that building (possibly the college they were heading for).
