Walking Dead

Pretty good season finale to end a pretty weak half season. It was obvious they wanted to hold off Terminus til next season so they had about eight episodes of people running around in the woods trying to get to Terminus. The writing on this show is sometimes laughable

Hopefully now that we have some kind of direction that the show is going, next season will be solid

They were developing the characters...kinda boring but it was pretty clear that they were going into more depth about the backgrounds of mysterious characters like Daryl and Michonne and Bob. People always wanted to know more about them when they first became prominent characters and now they understand them.

No. You can see "Judith" (the doll), I believe, on Carol's back as they're leaving the house.

Youre right; thanks. Going back I see now that the psycho little girl said that "Judith was going to be next" or something like that after she'd killed her sister.

Yeesh, people seem to hate any sort of character development. Just want bland faceless robots killin them some zombies!
It's not the "zombie killin," but the tension and suspense that made this a good episode.

Anybody know what Herschel and Rick did during those flashbacks when Herschel asked Rick to go with him and leave his gun because it will just get in the way? And then another flashback when Rick got Carl and told him the same thing?

Definite cannibals. When they were being herded, they ran by a fence with a bunch of human body parts (skulls, ribs). It looked similar to deer carcasses during hunting season after they were butchered, except people.

Farming at the prison

I have to strongly disagree. This second half of the season might be the strongest writing since the first season

I agree. I may not have like all of the episodes because a lot of them were pretty slow, but that's not because of poor writing. This last half season probably has had more character development than the rest of the entire series combined.

I thought it was cool how Rick was showing Carl and Michonne how to set up a rabbit trap, by creating a path and funneling the rabbit into the noose, but in the end, it's them that were coerced like the very rabbit they were trying to catch, into Terminus' boxcar.

Hadn't connected that but very cool. It was one of the better episodes of the series. I read the comics and Terminus is almost the exact opposite of what they'd be encountering about now on the same timeline, so that made it an even bigger shock.

I would think that cannibalism would be a less attractive option than just going out and getting animals to raise. I suppose if you can herd them right to you humans are easier to catch.

Rick's going to have to come up with something to get them out of this one. Also, not happy that they didn't show us what happened to Beth.

Yeah, could you imagine how many deer there would be with virtually no hunting, no land development and no cars killing them…but would take decades for natural predator numbers to increase. If nothing else they could shoot a deer with one or two bullets wasted instead of 50-100 per person with their gun herding method. But it is a fun and scary plot device.

The second season was the year they were on the farm, right? That season was terrible until the last three episodes or so. Such a snore fest.

It's obvious Terminus is taking the place of the roadside guys from the comic. If that plays out similar to the comic, Rick's little moment at the beginning of the episode would just be a spec of what darkness lies ahead. I thought the dedication room gave it away before anything else.
