So. . . the problem was. . . everything?
Yes, but it appears scheme was there, but players didn't execute as planned in practice (at least in player and coach postgame interviews). Especially, the zone offense from the high post position was terrible, until Haliburton was forced operate there.

Anyone who votes for Lewis and Grill starting needs their sanity checked. I watched both of them on the defensive end last night and they are both completely lost. Lewis can at least make a basket but that doesnt make him starter worthy.

Grill looks like another "shooter" who cant make shots. It looks like hes giving alot of effort but he's just going to be the 10th most talented player on the floor anytime he's out there.

I, fore one, am excited for another season of our second best player checking in 7 minutes into the game.

Yup. Only difference is Conditt does not have any attitude or off court issues holding him back.

Not really. Our “offense” is a high ball screen. When it doesn’t work the first time, we reset and do it again. When THAT doesn’t work, we run around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get a shot up, which has been a wide open Jacobson (not good), Bolton or Nixon with someone close to them (not good) or Haliburton from 36 feet (not good).

We need someone with a repeatable outside shooting stroke, at least, in the corner for that high ball screen offense. Lewis is the only one who has that.

And don’t give me the “he has no idea where he is supposed to be on defense” bit. I am fully aware he struggles on that end. He is not the only one however. There are at least 2 guys who (not going to name names on this one) are getting A LOT more minutes than Lewis right now, and both are just as lost.

I had Bolton instead of Grill, but in the remaining preseason games we need to see major minutes for Jackson and Grill, and Lewis to a lesser extent. We'll need one of these guys to show up in the conference games and CSP has to let them play to see what they can do. Two-three minutes spurts doesn't cut it.
Ya I agree look at Lewis with his first real shot to contribute.
