I lost any respect for this award in 2017.
If Joel Lanning wasn't considered the most versatile player in that year, then that's not what they're actually giving the award for.
Also, I love Noel, but this award should absolutely go to Travis Hunter if he's able to get back on the field.

It's ridiculous that the guy in first place is a true freshman DB from 4-3 Minnesota who has 10 tackles on the year. The only reason he's even in the running is because he has 4 INTs on the year, which doesn't even lead the nation. Jontez Williams has 4 INTs and he's not on the list.
