I had mentioned before that it doesn't affect Mel or Hallie's chase against the current leaders if you vote for someone else as well, however the public vote is only 1/3 of the final determination of the award. If someone behind Mel or Hallie is a strong favorite in the other 2/3 (media, etc.), votes cast for that individual in the public voting could hurt our ISU players.
