Vikings trade for a WR

The more that I look at this trade, the more I like it.

According to the Dolphins site, Camarillo last year had the most receptions without a drop in the NFL last season.

He is also going into his 2nd year following ACL surgery. The 1st year is often a work in progress as evidenced by his slow start last year. By the end of the year, he was getting back to his '08 production before before the injury ended his season. He should project to around 5+ catches per game and 11+ ypc. Over the season this comes out to 80 catches and 880 yds - not bad for a 3rd WR.

I'll be satisfied if he continues to earn the description of being a "poor man's Wes Walker". Walker plays for more of a passing team, but he still averages around the same 11 ypc.

If I were Packer fans, I wouldn't worry about him either. You have bigger things to worry about, like Rogers spending a good portion of his on-field time during games flat on his back. Who was it again that led the regular season last year in sacks allowed?

Yet... STILL managed to throw for 4,400 yards and 30 TD's.

You think as a Vikings fan, you might want to worry about them fixing the line problems?

That was last year, and Rodgers still had the same # of TD's and Int's that Favre did

What are you idiots arguing about anyway? The guy you bring in 2 weeks before the first game is NEVER as good as the guy you lost to injury. But you need the depth, so you get a guy who can help on the field. This is not a big deal, definitely not worth arguing stats over (rofl).

Kurt Warner disagrees with you.

I REALLY don't want to defend the Packers and their fans, but 50 of the sacks the Packers offense gave up last year 37 were in the first games, 13 in the last 8 games.

Packer fans are just too emotional these days. The vikings bring in a guy to add depth and they pounce on it like a fat girl on a twinkie. :D

Don't think it had anything to do with the fact those were his rookie and sophomore years?

Sure but Camarillo has only played one more year than Sidney. So it's pretty much the same there too.

Do people seriously not remember Camarillo? 2 years ago he was tearing it up for the Dolphins. He was on his way to catching over 80 passes for the year when he tore his ACL. Last year was his first year back. He had a 1st year QB in an offense that ran the ball all game. Not going to put up huge #'s.

He will be a fine #3 WR while Rice is out

Really????? If not for your Packer brethren using previous years' stats to discount Camarillo, you might have a point...
I never discounted Camarillo, so don't throw me in with the uninformed masses, and it's not last year, The Packers didn't have Tauscher to start the year, plus now they've got Bulaga, and the line got better as the year went on, that, even a Bears fan knows.

I assume you're talking about me since I was posting Camarillo's stats from previous seasons. You may want to take a second look at who I am a fan of.

Calling me part of the Packer brethren...just made me hate the Vikings even more.

4 in Detroit (including their 0 win season). Now 2 in Chicago. 1 in Denver. 1 in Atlanta.

I'd say a pretty good representation.
