***Video Board Renderings Released***

I love it, but the idea of hiding the supports behind the board and next to Jac would make it stand out more. I know the problems with this: 1. tearing up the cement walkway 2. having supports next to the building could possible cause problems

Love the fact of new board anything is better now... but i thought that i would throw out this for people to ponder

Yeah, i think someone said there would be something going at least partway up to block that off.

Ok actually, I have no idea, it's probably not too expensive in the grand scheme of things. I just couldn't come up with a better idea of why they didn't put a picture of JT up there. :v_SPIN:

well, the newer type of billboards r just one big wrap that they put over the board, and they change those out every few weeks. I doubt they cost over $10,000, but i really dont know.

Exactly. The videoboard and sound system is going to be a huge improvement. When we eventually get the south endzone bowled in, we will finally have a legitimate BCS level stadium that other people can't take potshots at

Looking at what we are going to have compared to what we currently have, if feel like we didn't even have a video board before. Granted this picture is from a good distance away, but it really makes the old one look like a joke.

Ok fellas, I'm not an engineer and I don't have photoshop. But, here's the scoreboard with a brick base and some red high tension cables that we can randomly attach to places throughout the board and stadium (yes, including the goalposts) for added stability in high winds. There, now everybody is happy.

Well, you probably didnt hear yet, but they are moving the St. Louis Arch to Ames Iowa directly over JT stadium and there will be high tension cables attached to the top of the scoreboard to the top of that arch. (which conveniently sits right over the stadium.)

Tension cables are all below the connection point. It should be held down. :yes:
