With all the discussion about where we might finish the season, anywhere from 6 to 10 would be my guess, got me wondering where we start out next year. I think OU will be above us from the big 12, but that’s it. Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, Notre Dame and OU will all but guaranteed be above us to start, but who else? I am having a hard time coming up with a reason Iowa State isn’t right behind them with the Georgia’s, Florida’s, etc. Thoughts?

...and I think that's it. Florida is losing basically all of their offensive production, and with who ISU has returning, they'll command more national preseason respect than North Carolina, Indiana, Northwestern, Cincy, etc. One good thing about ISU becoming "Villain No.1" these last few weeks is it put them on the map for tons of AP voters who hadn't given them a second thought up to that point. Then they go out and murder Oregon by thousand cuts in the Fiesta bowl, and they'll be on everyone's radar next year.
