Vegas Trip

I was able to get six more tickets late Thursday for some friends that finally got got back to me. I think our group is at 58 people now. I was worried if I would be able to but Rachael told me that after full payment on my intitial order that I could get more. I tapped her out of tickets though.

I don't even know 58 people!

Just booked my flight this morning!!! $99 round trip on Spirit Airlines, out of Seattle. Prices had been about $200 until this morning. I can live out of a backpack for two days (9/17 - 9/19) so no extra baggage fees and its only a 2.5 hour direct flight. I'm sharing a room with my parents at The Mirage.

I am so pumped, the last "game" I was at was SDSU that got canceled due to lightning after 4 minutes.
That is an awesome rate! Unfortunately it a horrible airline. At least its not too long of a flight.

I'll spend more time driving to/from and sitting in the airport than I will on the plane. I figured it was worth it. Even though Seattle and Vegas are both "western US" its still like a 15 hour drive - more than I want to take on myself for a single day event. I recently drove to SanFran and back (14 hours each way, almost 1800 miles total) in 3 days and it was brutal.

wait, what? i thought they weren't on sale until mid-July?

So what’s going on this specific weekend that’s driving up costs? As I’ve been looking for hotels it is considerably more than others it seems.

That’s what I thought to. If you had a group of 12 or more and you put $100 down you got on priority list. I was second on the list. Totally unexpected phone call from the UNLV ticket office last week. They were scrambling also as was I was.

Our guy arranging for our group said he was third on the list. He got the call last week too. We've got about 30 in our group. What section did you get?

Same for us.

Did you guys also pay $121 per ticket? That wouldn't be good news for people expecting that single game lower bowl will be any cheaper than that. And I wonder what the ISU allotment for 4,000 would cost. Maybe more with markup from ISU?
