Valley High School Recruiting????

First off, West Des Moines doesnt have enough room for another high school and the parents voted against it for the sake of their kids remaining together with their friends. We already have 5 state championships in football, 1 in basketball, a ton in golf, soccer, swimming, and cheerleading so that isn't an issue. Dont write about West Des Moines if you're ill informed or don't live there... (cough Ankeny cough) Secondly, the roosevelt coaching staff fell apart after last year so why would a player want to stick around for a coach he doesn't know or isnt credible? Lastly, if you go to Valley or live in West Des Moines, all this bs talk about us doesn't phase us, because haters gon' hate. Been this way for years now... that is all.

As other WDM residents have stated, you are full of crap.

I can't speak to any of the Des Moines area Catholic schools, but I know for a fact that Xavier HS in CR recruits athletes, and it doesn't matter if they're Catholic or not.

I've known several people personally that were contacted by Xavier HS to come to their school. It just so happens, they were great athletes..... hmmmm. One of them was 6'6" as a freshman when he was contacted about playing basketball there. He was from a very small town just outside of CR. He turned them down. And he wasn't Catholic either.

I'm not saying all schools don't do this though... because they do. CR Prairie a couple years ago should have had a great HS boys basketball team, but 2 of their players enrolled at CR Kennedy, one went to Solon, and the other open enrolled to IC High. All lived in the CR Prairie school district, but Prairie wasn't good at all, so they left. It happens pretty much everywhere I think?

Heres the truth and im 100% sure about it, Roosevelt had internal issues with their coaches who i believe arent there anymore. Jok's guardian and Nixons dad wanted to get them out of there so he called a few schools, dowling waukee valley etc and told them the situation. Jok visited Valley right after spring break and they decided to go there.
