Looking for a nice restaurant in Urbandale, good beer selection, nice early business dinner type place. Don't have a big time window to make it downtown. Any suggestions?

Urban Grill has an awesome happy hour. Half price apps and drinks 4-6. Food is pretty good.

Remodel made it way nicer inside. I would say the inside is a wood/stone lodge type feel now.

I agree with Urban Grill. Another place is on Merle Hay & Franklin is Simons, or Cosi Cucina on 86th St. in Clive.

It’s serve yourself, definitely not suited for a business dinner.

I second Urban Grill and Cosi Cucina.

Taki or Irinas could work too (neither of these are beer places).

Cosi has changed hands a couple times but I think it’s back in the hands of the original owner. I can say the quality hasn’t dropped off a bit.

I don’t make it there often but there is only one place I go when I’m in that area. Taste of New York. Best pizza in central Iowa. Probably not suited for business unless they are fellow Iowans that are use to eating trash pizza from gas stations.
