Updated Roster is Posted

I think Hunter was always a 4 year player, but he got wind from an AAU coach of his teammates cashing in and he was worth more so he transferred.

I do think for the most part the market will settle, it’s new and crazy right now. But I’d assume after a few years it will slow back down. Obviously most of the elites have always done it, and some more schools(donors) will utilize it more, but everyone who splurged this year probably won’t continue to do so, especially if the player they paid doesn’t pan out or the team still isn’t winning.

It will always be a problem, but it should become less of one after a few years. There will just be new players in the game.
I don't know if he was ever a 4-year player, but I did think we had him at least two and if he left it was because it was a repeat of Haliburton (not a bad deal for recruiting if you can get two and done guys that go in the lottery every other year).

I do believe Hunter seized the perfect storm of NIL but would have stayed if this was two years ago or possibly two years from now when NIL frenzy slows down.

At the end, I am disappointed he left, particularly in conference.

However, it looks like the option was either 1) Hunter and Brockington or 2) Bolton and ?? (I think the reason Bolton was told he wasn't going to play is because TJ promised Hunter the PT if he kept his commitment). I do not think we make the NCAAs this year without Hunter.

Bolton wasn’t coming back with or without Hunter.

I wonder, with the way the markets and the economy are going, if some of this will all crash and burn. After all, the NIL money has to come from somewhere, and if businesses or people are hurting for money, this would probably be one of the first things that would be cut back.
