Upcoming Schedule

Turns out SH may not be as god as thought. 20 pt loss at Rutgers doesnt scream great team to me!

But keep in mind that Powell was out of much of the game with a concussion. Hopefully he makes it back soon.

Also, Rutgers is an improved basketball program IMO. Way ahead of their football program at this juncture.

stop with your silly talk.

that only ******* matters when it can be used to degrade our team, more specifically our coach

and the guy you responded to isn’t really an Iowa State fan, they forget there is a post history feature on this site.

Michigan has lost 3 out of 4 now. They are probably a 8-10 loss team once the Big 10 schedule sinks in.

So North Carolina and Gonzaga suck now then.

I’ll give you this, you’re a liar. But there are some people coming for your title of shittiest poster. You may fall to like number 3.

I think they'll still be pretty good though.

They got jumped on yesterday early, but apparently opportunities to win a game go beyond the first 5 minutes.

They are still solid but I see them in more the 4 or 5 seed range in the tourney than a 1 or 2 seed that they looked like in Atlantis.

The Gonzaga win was huge but I'm not convinced North Carolina is that good of a team.

Moving on from the debacle, much more disappointing would be to lose any of the next 3. I refuse to believe anything but 9-4, 1-0 when KU comes to town.
Then what?
KU & BU 4 losses.
Comes down to OU, OSU, KSU, UT, TCU, TT, WVU. Sweep 3 would get to 18-12, 9-9. Win at least one in Big 12 tourney.
Auburn? In this scenario, may not matter, but a win would definitely get Cyclones into the dance.

Im already chalking that one up to an embarrassing loss. Think Tennessee 17-18 level blowout. I called 7-11 before the season started, Im sticking by that.

The game against TCU will be a huge game for the rest of the season IMO. Get to 9 wins and have a possibility to upset the #1 team in the country 4 days later and gain huge momentum in conference play. I understand KU is very good this year, but that game is one we usually tend to get up for and play very well in. Get OU at home after that and if you win that you're sitting at 11-4 and a 3-0 conference record.

I’m so confused. You pledged not to be negative about basketball this year because you knew they’d suck.

This team just needs to keep improving. Bolton must become a most consistent offensive player and they need some help from other either Grill, Griffin or Jackson on the offensive end. I know that everyone is very excited about next year's class...including me but two of the three need to develop offensively with the anticipated loss of Haliburton.

18-13 is the magic number. There is more parity in college basketball then I have ever seen. I think the Big 12 has one dominant team (Kansas) and three teams that are probably Top 10-25 by the end of the year (Baylor, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State). West Virginia is the next best squad but beyond that I think 6-10 all have significant issues that need to be addressed. I agree that a win vs. Kansas changes everything but Kansas is probably the best team in the country.

Boy would that be unreal, but welcomed! Not really into predicting games or needed wins or records, nor do I bet on sports. But if I ever were to bet 'against' ISU, it would be vs. KU this season. Regardless of how well we've always played against them. They have the same strengths (plus MORE) as Iowa (monster mismatch down low playing his best basketball, plenty of shooters to make you pay, plus add to that a fast 5-star point guard.) Very tough task.

Oh I completely agree. But for some reason if Iowa State beat them I would not be surprised.

Not excited to watch this team play Baylor. We generally struggle against their zone, but this years team has a good shot at getting ran in even worse fashion than we did vs Iowa. Might skip those games, record them, check the score on my phone and then decide whether or not it's worth my time

On the other hand, those are games in which we’re playing with house money. Those are relaxing games to watch. We won’t be expected to win, and if we do, it could greatly change the course of the season.
