I drove through a few times in August and just laughed thinking about all the Cyclones coming in.

It'll be interesting to see how much we show out with the inflated prices because of two other events happening that weekend, 3 if you include the low level fight the same night as our game.

I'm excited. Already saw one Hawkeye shirt this morning. Gross.

I had a lot of other plans in August/September and the tickets were so high I decided not to go even though I could drive it. Then I saw the crazy low $33 tickets last week and wish I had gone but now can't get out of other plans...

Vegas is always crazy expensive for food and drinks, I'm in LA and Vegas seems pricey to me when I go there. I see you are rocking Busch Light from the hotel balcony which will mitigate that pricing

When I went to our Florida State game in KC (he was in) there were several Iowa fans dressed up in FSU gear. I could tell pretty clearly when they talked about Iowa football as "we". I'm sure you might see some Iowa fans disguised in UNLV gear they bought at an airport gift shop.

We have a group of 17 going to the game, with 15 of us staying at Mandalay Bay, Some flying out Thursday through Sunday, we are in the second group flying out Friday through Monday. We have people leaving from all over the place, us and another 2 couples are leaving out of KCI, some out of Minneapolis, and my two sons will be leaving out of Dallas and Columbia SC.

Arriving in the morning and catching a 12:30am flight headed back after the game. Free beer tip….. if you like betting on horse racing at the sports books you can basically drink all day for free. They comp racing bettors WAY more than sports bettors.

That place is really sweet, you are going to like it. Yes a hike from the stadium, but sports book is really nice
The Mexican Restaurant in there is really good.

I appreciate the positive reviews. Since it's only been open for a few months now, there aren't many of those floating around! We wanted to stay somewhere that we hadn't yet, so the newest place was the obvious answer.
