UNI vs. Illinois State

I'm cheering for UNI. I know some kids that go there and they're an Iowa school. It also helps that I go to school outside of the state, so if UNI fans are being obnoxious I don't experience that.

"ISU" is ours. Since they are a ****/"nobody knows you school," they get Il St. from me. Still, rooting for them to beat UNI.

Yes. Illinois State, Ball State, and Louisville all use a variation of our Angry Chicken, too.

So I didn't realize so many schools in the Missouri Valley started as teachers colleges. 6 of the 10 current members started that way.

And I know, that's a really cool fact

I don't understand the TV deal for this tourney, games have been on fox sports, watchespn, and now CBS.

I'd rather the Valley didn't steal a bid

Texas is not in as much danger as the prognosticators say. There are like 10-15 bubble teams with a worse RPI who aren't named Texas.

I say let the at large bids be stolen as much as possible.

Picking UNI cheering for Ill. St. just to make the NCAA tourney selection more interesting.

I'd have probably cheered for UNI and WSU all year if they would have held them up around #15 in the rankings.

It's idiotic to put teams in the top ten with one or zero quality wins.

Agreed, most people agree that OSU is in, so why is Texas not?

Okie State had a worse non-con, slightly worse RPI, and slightly worse SOS, with an identical conference record. Yet somehow OSU is a should be in, but Texas is on the outside looking in?

I think people expected too much from Texas, and now that they've let down during B12 season they're assuming they'l be left out. But if Okie State is a tournament bound team, Texas is for sure.

I don't think they should be ranked that high, but I'm not going to blame UNI for that. It's not their fault the polls are flawed

We could maybe see Illinois State round 1 if they pull this off. 14 seed sounds about right, maybe 13.

The MVC is the 10th best conference in the country, if you can't win the regular season or tournament championship, should you really be higher than a 9 or 10 seed at most?

"Illinois state showing they might be for real"

I think he meant to say "Illinois state is showing uni might not be for real "

If Il St pulls this off I'm curious what the UNI trolls will have to say.
