UCONN matchup?

You’re right- I’m not a ‘refs are out to get us’ guy…you are. You do you man- I don’t mind it at all. Your tinfoil hat looks great on you by the way, wear it with pride!
They may not have been consciously out to get us, but there may have been a blue blood brand bias at play. Basically what we saw was they let one team play a certain way but not another. We were on the wrong end of that for a lot of the game. They were calling ghost fouls on us, for example on Grill for defending going straight up, and Kalscheur on the sideline (he didn't even touch him) and they were letting body bumps, grabbing and checking go for UNC. I wouldn't minded that one bit if they let us do it too, they didn't. Furthermore, when UNC was on offense, they continually ignored the had extension push on our on ball defenders, that is an offensive foul all the way.

I'm wondering if we'll see any Lipsey, Holmes, King, Kunc, and any one of Osun, Jones, or Ward? King's supposedly got decent handles and Kunc already assists bringing the ball up so that shouldn't be an issue. See we're playing some zone. That length would be sick.
Pretty sure you can't list a lineup that doesn't include the Grill this weekend.

But I agree we have 4 guards that look Big XII ready so it's likely we'll see 3 bigs at times. Looks like we have a very solid 9 man rotation.

Sure- there were missed calls, but there were times we got away with things too.
I agree, the blue-bloods do get the benefit of the doubt in a tight contest. However, our team did what they were supposed to do: overcome and take the decision out of the officials’ discretion. We beat them soundly at the end- and that’s how you beat the big boys. Complaining about questionable calls, whether valid or not, has nothing to do with us executing and getting it done when it counted.

*Edit to add: I haven’t looked, but I’m willing to bet the NC fan pages have complaints about the officials too. Point being, it’s just natural to complain about officials and I think it’s a bad look. Our guys won, officials aside, and I think that should be what the focus should be.

TCU is still without Damion Baugh because of some ******** NCAA ruling related to “uncertified agents”.

He is a HUGE piece for them. I would not be surprised if Iowa wins going away.

They beat ALR by 1..........lost to NW State.

They are struggling early. If Iowa doesn't win this that does not look so good.

Whew ok I will try this one more time. I said RIGHT NOW. As in right this moment in the season. I think UConn is a better team than UNC.

Then I said in my post I don’t think that will be the case come March. UNC is more talented and will almost assuredly be the better team come March.

I am married into a family of UConn fans and I want nothing more than for us to roll them. I think we will win because our defense is just so hard to play against if you haven’t seen it.

That will still be a tough game in I.C. I hope Iowa is ranked win or lose.

And I hope ISU can only have like 1 loss going in (tomorrow or St. Johns).
I get what you're saying and I usually worry about psychological advantages going into this rivalry game, but I feel like it's not gonna matter because it will all come down to toughness, and the toughest team will win.

UCONN fans seem quite confident on their main forum.
Trust me that fan base is oddly arrogant. They take their hoops seriously and get pissed when you don’t think Storrs is the college bball capital of the world. Between their men’s and women’s programs and titles in the last 25 years they aren’t necessarily wrong but they are a weird bunch.
