TV for Army Game?

Iowa is playing in primetime on ABC and ISU is on the 'clonezone'...wonder how many impressionable young fans we lose to the dark side yet again this year?

Way to go Big 12!

Yup, the events that led to this are good for ISU fans, bad for the Big XII on a whole

Ok, maybe I'm missing something but how is being on the clonezone good for ISU?

Because for those of us who don't live anywhere near Ames, we can watch the game.

Obviously there is greater benefit to the program to be broadcast on TV, however since that isn't going to happen, atleast our current fans can see a game, keeping them interested in the program

Alright, I get that and I'm glad out of staters and people who can't make it can watch. I'm just very frustrated by our tv deal and anytime somebody says the clonezone is good..well, it get's my goat. Again, I guess clonezone is better than nothing so I'm glad you can watch it.

what events?

Or lack of events... no Big XII games have been picked up for prime time this week

====>
It's because FSN didn't pick an evening game (nor did FCS), and there are four Big 12 games scheduled for 6:00. This is a rare occurrence (the allowing of web streaming for a Saturday game)...I can't recall any other time this happened.

Oh, and the Tech-Houston game is AT Houston -- so the Big 12 has no say in TV selection for that one.

Don't get me wrong, the Big XII's media agreement sucks pretty hard core. I don't think anyone prefers CloneZone over TV.

But since we don't always get on TV, it serves as a substitue for the existing fan base

The NDSU game was the best feed I have ever seen on CloneZone. I barely missed a play from lag or buffering. Picture was also as good or better than I can ever it remember it being, pretty good for a University produced computer feed.

Edit: This broadcast could be completely different though, as the last time it was the Mediacomm broadcast, this time it'll be the feed from the video board at Jack Trice.

So, will they get the Applebee's shuffle? I'm not sure if Flag Guy's neighbors could handle his intensity when that breaks out.

I think that's pretty standard practice when the home team is webcasting the game. I think NDSU made the Clone Zone stream available through their online service too.

ISU, NDSU and Army all have the same web provider (JumpTV), so sharing the feed is very easy and is considered a common courtesy.

Many times other JumpTV schools will share their video feeds with ISU for Cyclone road contests.
