It's estimated that OSU has spent $13mm this offseason on transfers. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, OSU is going to buy NC's and their roster is going to be loaded with talent.

Did Aiden Bitter enter the portal or did he graduate? He is no longer listed on the roster. Hayden Pauls and Brady Petersen are also no longer on the roster. They were redshirt juniors last year so they may have graduated and moved on.

On Bitter, I saw a photo of him in cap and gown. Dec 28 he posted a heartfelt message about ISU and how it sculpted him in the man he is today. Said he was going back to Florida… not sure if that’s just normal post grad plan or football related.

If that is the case with Bitter (along with Pauls and Petersen), the 2020 class will go down as an interesting one. Only 4 of the 23 signees will have fulfilled their eligibility (Tampa, Hutchinson, Miller, and Jackson).

The outgoing Bama transfers have to be all about money. There is no reason to doubt Kalen DeBoer at this point. He's going to put a WR in the first round of the draft. Bama's best WR Isaiah Bond transfers out. He's going to put a QB in the first round. Bama's elite five star freshman recruit QB Julian Sayin made it 9 days. He just coached his team into the national championship game. His best safety Caleb Downs and starting LT Kadyn Proctor transfer.

He's definitely right. Doesn't fit the Alabama falling apart narrative, but DeBoer has quietly done a pretty excellent job from a recruiting standpoint thus far. He's largely retained the entire recruiting class Saban was bringing in, particularly if he can get Ryan Williams to re-commit which is trending that way. Losing Sayin was a blow, but he brought his guy Austin Mack with him from Washington to cover that. The only other loss out of that class was Jameer Grimsley who already had 3 higher ranked CBs ahead of him in the same class.

Now you can't discredit losing the guys they did to the portal. Bond, Downs, Proctor, Niblack, Amos are all big time players, but he seems to have stopped the bleeding after that handful and added a few other UW guys. Likely will be really active in portal further too.
