Man that sucks. Liked his frame at DB.
He was intriguing with that size and also because he made it onto some early depth charts as a RS freshman walk-on.
He was talked about in the preseason as someone that could see the field, but not sure how much he played. Wish him well at his next stop.
I’m always curious what goes on. He may just be trying to get on scholly somewhere. I think he was injured his senior year of high school so he didn’t get much attention.
I kind of thought he was one of the walk-ons most in line for a scholarship. But he was probably behind Assalley, Rivera and Schweiger.
Can’t compete, run... good luck though, we need warriors here.
hearing Jalen Martin is also likely leaving the program. He’ll open a scholarship. Spears did not.
Guys come to play, and if they can't get on the field then some will leave, while others will stay and try to improve to play. ISU has been getting better players into the program and I am sure there are going to be a few of these guys that don't see themself playing a lot because of the guys around them. Goes on at every school. Best to luck for the kid, really hope he finds a team that can use him.
