TORNADO EMERGENCY CHEROKEE, IOWA

Wayne, NE got it pretty bad.

Quimby, IA got it as well.

Dont think Spencer got it this time.

Also a 2 mile wide wedge tornado. 15 people injured at this time, gas station, softball complex and about the southern 1/3 of town heavily damaged.

reason #45 to not move to a state ending with "Dakota".

I always get a kick out of people from North Dakota who claim that they should just change their name to "Dakota", because having "North" in their name makes people think it's colder there and deters them from visiting.

Ugh, no, people don't come there because there's not a damn thing worth going there for.

Drove thru Quimby and Pierson area on my way home from Ames. Followed a cop and snow plow pushing branches off the street. Had to hop out of my vehicle once to clear branches. Cop told me tornado was 3/4 mile wide and I couldn't have missed it by much more than an hour.
