There are actually some supply issues as well. Think of all the toilet paper that is commercial grade that is not being used at places of work, businesses schools etc. the market for commercial and consumer are entirely different as is the product. You are using way more consumer grade and way less commercial. It’s the same problem the ag industry is seeing. You can’t find eggs but farmers are dumping milk because the food service industry has been killed. Hoarding is only a part of it.

I have to think even if its the cheap single ply people would gladly buy that if able to since almost nothing else is available. I didn't even think about those super large rolls. Not all commercial rolls are that big but I can see that the large rolls are all but impossible to make available for retail. Thinking about it more, even the regular size rolls would be extremely difficult to get to retail even if re-packed. The supply chain challenges for this are more difficult than you would think. Just crazy times.

To some extent, but I'm not sure if I'll ever get to the point where I want someone else to be picking out my produce or meats outside of a situation like this where I'm avoiding going to the store.
I haven't done delivery or pickup yet, just trying to limit myself to one trip to the store a week, alternating between Sam's club or target one week and hyvee the other week. Partially because right now all the delivery services require you order almost a week in advance to get a spot.
My preschooler can wipe himself, but I've told him that now is not really the time to practice, so we've been helping limit.
Yeah when it comes to produce I don't even like someone else handling my food or picking it out so good point.
Funny enough my trip yesterday could have felt good to see other people, but since many were still not doing the social distancing thing, it was a quick reminder that I hate people and will keep social distancing even if a vaccine comes along.

Not just TP, you cannot get SPAM, Jigsaw puzzles (The cool ones) and other things you would never thought there would be a shortage of. Dog clippers to cut pet hair, lots of it sold out.
Grocery stores had shortages of meat, pasta, bread and other things 2 or 3 weeks ago.
You go now, and like you mention the supply chain is catching up. Shelves are becoming stocked with more and more goods.
I was fortunate to buy a 50 pack roll at Sam's back in mid Feb, at the rate we are using it I think I will be gone from this world before I get through it.

We got some at Aldi (Double rolls double strong) 12 pack last week. We were there at opening.
Brothers back in IA both got some in the last week. Small grocery store in Tipton was one. The other brother got it at the Downtown HyVee in Muscatine.
I agree though, it was already cleaned out before the other grocery runs hit. Not much before, but before.

leave it pulled up and refresh it periodically. They make it available in small batches throughout the day.
Just ordered some Angel Soft on Walmart.com, looks like its going to take 12 days to get here but we should be fine until then.

I've been using this site for the last few weeks. www.nowinstock.net. After you register, you can set it up to get text notifications when your selected TP is in stock at Amazon and other sites. I've found a lot of TP this way when the stores are empty.
