TJ Lifetime Contract

If TJ isn’t on top of every AD’s wishlist, they don’t know what they’re doing. Pay him accordingly
Gotta hope Michigan keeps rolling and they retain May.

They still deserve a little payback from ISU for poaching Orr.

These are the types of games that set him apart from anyone before. We had amazing runs and we had amazing wins. But we always came up just short in a game like today - on the road, national TV, #1 team, etc. And we rolled them and never let up.
It was a complete ass kicking. The kind of game that lets the opponent and their fans know that this game was never in doubt in the 2nd half. So impressed with this team

Would love more payback, against Michigan, especially in the Final Four, but we already gave them a bit of payback.

If/when TJ wins a natty this year, Pollard’s stupid NIL/ Rev Sharing rules and philosophy should automatically not apply to MBB. Give the man whatever he wants within reason.
That's ok just don't ***** when the football program is the 1990s version of ISU football.

I'll take Walden/Criner era football in a heartbeat if it means a MBB natty and perpetual elite program status. TJ and the ISU program replace fKU in the national heirarchy, I can get behind that.

And always beat EIU, of course. Implied.

Eh, I’ve been an ISU fan since the 90’s. Sadly we’ve had more years like the 90s than not. I’m used to that level of disappointment from FB at this point. Being a perennial National Title Contender in MBB is worth that pain.

This needs to stop being the automatic response on here.

I'm been a season ticket holder in multiple sports for over 20 years, donated to We Will, gridiron club, general AD fund, ISU general fund, bought We Will pizza, beer, golf equipment, donated at raffles, and done Cys House of Trivia to give to try to win/bid on ISU prizes. I give more than enough % wise of my money, time, and effort to ISU and athletics. I'm not solely responsible for ISU's athletic success. AD JP is.

I'm not rich enough to write a blank check, but as lower middle class/working class I do what I can. AD JP needs to win over the big donors who can foot the bill to keep TJ forever, which given the on court results shouldn't be too difficult to do if they actually care & like seeing ISU to continue to win. And TJ isn't quite demanding unreasonable sums of money at this point either.

Like Campbell, Otz likely would not tell Iowa State they have to match Michigan State’s offer (what percentage of their newfound $400 million will it be?…). He would ask more flexibility of Pollard as it relates to distribution of revenue and NIL. This is all on Pollard right now, though I hope the Board of Regents just rids us of this debate

Got it someone else needs to pay.
Needle movers, yes.

And it is literally AD JP's job to get them to donate to the cause.

All of us making 50k to 200k annually can donate from every paycheck, but it won't make enough difference if the wealthier ISU fans and donors who some make $10 million up to being worth in the billions don't pay enough to keep up with ISU's opponent's donors.

If my net worth was over a billion dollars, I would have no problem giving ISU athletics 100 million. But that is how much I care about ISU sports, maybe they do, maybe they don't. But that would pay Otzelberger's salary of 4 mil for 25 years (he actually makes 3.5 per, but I rounded up.)

Correct. The AD needs to secure significantly more wealthy donors (not the type buying pizzas, the type buying pizza franchises), and change his entire perspective and operating practice related to NIL. And then of course ensure he is doing quite literally everything to keep TJ happy. Year after year after year.

I am going to try to enjoy this year as I won't feel comfortable in a basketball offseason with this current AD/administration.

Then everybody pony up...$$$$$$
Because that will be what it takes to keep him and get players like Jefferson...who are not a dime a dozen. Remember, JJ almost left last year. Why do you supposed he stayed?
