Tip-Off Party - October 1st

Have to admit I was surprised when I saw it was at Thunderhead. That place is not set up well at all for that kind of event. Not surprised to hear this feedback.

Yeah, and I hope that doesn't come off to Chris and Adam that people are upset or unappreciative. These events are a blast, just wasn't the best space for something as popular as this is.

I've also been to Thunderhead numerous times and always thought their food was good along with the Chicken Coop.

The longer you hang around the more fun these things are. Being an Ankeny guy I loved that it was here, but I think we all knew that Thunderhead wasn't going to be able to handle a Cyclone Fanatic crowd.

Too bad that it has to be at a bar only so people can yell obscenities as much as they want.

tzjung saved us one of those tables as we couldn't be there until 6:20 or so. He shared our 6-seat table with three "strangers", and so our table was full by 6:20. It was cool eating and drinking with the other three, which surprisingly none of them have usernames on here. I think that proves how good the CF team markets this stuff.

Although the place was full we were served by a great waitress. She kept our beers full and got our food to us timely. I couldn't have been more impressed with how Thunderhead performed in that chaos. It's just a shame they can't expand to have more parking and a party room to continue to host these big events.
