Read an article in Golf Digest where several swing coaches (including Haney) were pretty impressed with Tiger's new swing, most notably how accurately he was hitting the fairway with the driver, and with some decent distance. So maybe this tournament was more of a fluke compared to what others have seen over the past few months. Time will tell I guess.

Golf digest is just looking for clicks/purchases. I could tell you the same things they said.

Yeah you are right, they shouldn't cover him at all. They have no idea how to get viewers...

No doubt the networks want to cover Woods, but the question is-- at what point do they stop?

Tiger Woods? Really? Like the extra one-cent tax option, I'll just have to pass....

Still to this day, Tiger is the only reason I'd care about a non-major. Can't explain, just a Tiger guy I guess.
My sentiments exactly - can't explain either, but I always watch.

On a related note, hard to believe this was only 10-months ago; I thought he was through for good:

Tiger looking good today. Just had a nice driving iron stinger down the middle. One stroke back. Might be a big shootout tomorrow with a group of players within a stroke or two.

Tiger recorded the fastest recorded swing on tour today. While you guys are all getting vasectomies for the first weekend of the tourney, I'm getting my back fused.

I'm a pretty big Tiger fan but I was very hesitant to call him "back" until Honda. Once he played that, with no health issues, I thought he was back on track at least. This is unbelievable, though. If he wins this week, he's going to likely be the favorite next week for sure and I'm not sure how you put anyone else ahead of him at Augusta especially considering that he's going to get even better. This is the healthiest, both mentally and physically, he's been since 2007. He looks 15 years younger than he did last year and he seems to have everything he's had. It will be incredibly interesting to see just how good he can get again. I told a buddy yesterday that he looks like 2013 Tiger bordering on 2006 Tiger. These guys are also folding around him. It's not because of him, it's because of the chaos around the group and they can't handle it like he can. The older guys seem to do fine. Tomorrow is going to be greatly entertaining.
